I just tried it at Cap Friendly, so take it with a grain of salt because I have no idea if it's correct, but....

If you put LE, Beagle, Benn, Baertschi, and everyone else to the minors/taxi squad, you can keep Ferland on the opening night roster and have 1.9 in cap space. Not sure what the deal for Hamonic is though, if it's less than that.

They could be compliant in a heartbeat just go with 21 man roster but it has been changed that you want to be as close to the cap to get the best use of your LTIR.

I'm sure teams have talked to them already about it and TB doesn't seem to be budging. Once they put Kuch on LTIR, it won't matter. So why not just grab him.


I can see why Florida is picking up Forsling and Juulsen. I wouldn't doubt if they grabbed a couple more D.
