You can't play Cozens with Skinner because Skinner doesn't play defense, yet let's play him with the center that is HORRIBLE defensively

I will break this down piece by piece:

Before Ralph, Skinner did play the PP and did play in OT...remember? His 40 goal campaign yeah he played both under a different coach and he produced and produced well

The Skinner doesn't play defense narrative is why Ralph is putting him on the 4th line, yet he is playing our rookie with someone who not only doesn't play defense well, he does it worse than Skinner

As far as the player needing to follow the coaches game plan, sure Skinner does need to follow the system, however a good coach puts his players in the best situation to succeed.

AND for the last time you cannot take out his $9 million salary. It's there, it is part of the equation and in fact a huge part. He is not less detrimental by getting less minutes. Ralph is taking away Skinner's biggest asset which is his ability to produce 5 on 5

Blake Bortles has more playoff wins than Ben Roethlisburger and Russell Wilson combined since 2017.

Goff is not elite.

Brees circa 2021 is not elite.

Brady has been much better the 2nd half of the year so I won’t argue that.

Lamar Jackson is an elite athlete I guess. If that makes him an Elite QB then so be it and I’ll accept it despite the fact that he isn’t a good passer.

Mayfield is good, not elite.

Rodgers, Mahomes and Allen are elite.

I could give two shats if he plays Defense, last time I checked we paid him to score goals, in fact he was only a plus player 1 time in his NHL career so far. (rookie year) So Kruger all of a sudden wants a player who has 10 season under his belt to change? aint gonna happen and putting him on the fourth line is STUPID IMO. A good coach will put his players in a position to succeed, regardless of their limitations.

The Risto comparison is perfect. he sucks at Defense and that is actually what he gets paid to do.

That's very fair. That's what a good coach would do.

Problem is maybe he just wants to go out and figure skate his way thru teams?
