Yes, there are better players. I've not overlooked that fact that others can and will surpass him in the future. But this also isn't a normal year, either.

My point was simply that he has an early edge because he's not been stuck sitting on his ass before training camps opened. He's earning top PP opportunities & top 6 time, which should hopefully also translate to him grabbing pts.

Can he blow it? Of course! Not many rooks are a sure thing.

I just think he's primed for some success this year.

Juolevi is a third pairing D-man. I don't think he's going to be taking anyone by storm with his game. He just needs to focus on playing steady.

With limited scouting ability due to covid, this year's first round has the potential to be far more hit or miss then normal years. It's not a good year to tank.

I believe nhl protocol will require at minimum 7 day isolation and 4 consecutive negative tests, before that person can return.
