JB has done well other than UFA’s lol
Namely term on UFA’s is my beef. Usually 1 year too long as it’s turned out. Gone soon.

I think this year was A- on UFAs. Didn't sign any of our vets, got Hamonic on a sweet deal

So what does the roster look like on opening night now with JTM 'out' ?

Virtanen-Pettersson-Boeser
Pearson-Horvat-Hoglander
Roussel-Gaudette-Mackewan
Motte-Beagle-Sutter

meh.
Not quite as sexy...still looking forward to seeing the puck drop!

Benning said the exact same thing about Beagle when he signed him. Managers (media) say stupid poop to justify their positions all the time.
- 1970vintage

Beagle is fast . He always wins the bag skate challenges but it does not mean he is good. I would never classify Tanev as fast but he is good for 50 games a year. Like Redmile said good thing the schedule is 56 games.

I think Boeser's comments yesterday were telling about having to be more defensively aware with JV on their line.

Definitely not as strong of a lineup without JTM, hopefully that third line clicks and can win their matchups.

I found those comments funny seeing Boeser only learned how to play D late last year. I thought Pot meet Kettle.

Finally playing JV on the left wing might help...

I thought the same. I wonder if Brock said that with a straight face.

The curse of Craig Button....

Craig Button: "He checked every single box. Back up goaltender for Carey Price, get a deeper blue line..and then up front, get more scoring help. I think the Montreal Canadiens have not only improved their team significantly, I think they're the best team in the North Division."

Beags is super fast. Team was blown away by his conditioning even the Sedins couldn't believe it.

Based off percentages and Tanev lalying an 82 game sched yes he is only good for around 45-50 games.

So that means on a 56 game sched he should be out by around the 25-30 game mark.

But also I don't think Edler will make it past 25-30 games here either lol.

Hoglander is hooped then, as Button called him a special talent and will be a very nice contributor to the Canucks.

I have to agree . Benning did say the Taxi squad would get to play a lot of games ,yesterday. It will be nice to see Rathbone and Rafferty in game action.

The team needs young guys to step up so we can start moving some old faces out. Perfect year to do it. I never want to see Loui play another NHL game.
