A nice, little side-story for the opening to the season:

Mike Patton has done more diverse projects than anyone else in music. Period.
Fantomas, Melvins, Dead Cross, etc. Super talented.

Saw them at City Gardens when The Real Thing had just come out and the place was half-full. My drummer was really into them and they did not disappoint. Saw them again on Sol Invictus which featured roadie Dan Boyle, still awesome!
Speaking of great covers, I'll leave you with this from the Sol Invictus tour. Sorry about the guy punching you in the face.

I've only heard those bands, ie Disturbed, Slipknot, Korn at my buddy's house when we brew. He is determined to get me into that genre. I can respect the talent, just not my thing.
I grew up in the 80's with Slayer, Venom, Celtic Frost, Motorhead, etc. Also love early prog like early Genesis, Renaissance, PFM Cook, even Chicago.
That cover was great, I was waiting for it to go into thrash mode and it didn't to their credit. His vocals took it to the next level. That was awesome. Are they still together? I'd like to hear more diverse music from that guy, he has a solid voice.

First heavy metal song I can remember hearing was Iron Maiden Run to the Hills. Been hooked every since.

Disturbed took a hiatus for a little while but they are back together again touring.

Early Metallica was always my favorite. Pantera, Megadeath were on the list too.
I do credit to Godsmack and Rammstein for making my gym playlist.

Have you never heard of Richard Cheese? If not, I recommend listening to Stairway to Heaven and Fight for Your Right. You can hate me later

If you ever saw Dawn of the Dead (2000s remake) down with the sickness was played when they're killing all the zombies in the mall lol

Richard Cheese is a bit of a rabbit hole!!
There are some classics, for sure! I've had his f'd up riffs for Welcome to the Jungle, Gin and Juice and Guerilla Radio stuck in my head on a few occasions!

Yea NBCSN wants to do a triple header. I am cool with it, no fans anyway. No need to wait for 7.

Also I already lost JT Miller to covid for a few weeks. This is going to be a tough year for fantasy
