I know he's only 22, but man, that even feels like a lot for a 50 pt guy - Bean_Dip
I'd give up Chytil, Kravtsov, and ADA. Trading from 2 positions of strength (wing and RD) to get a young star in the making. This is arguably why we've stockpiled prospects at these positions, to move them for someone just like this. Chytil is a good young center but is tiers below PLD.
Also, PLD is 6 points better than Chytil on faceoffs. Which isn't saying much but that is a marked upgrade from his measly 38% clip |

This also is clearly based on my own personal bias (no discussion necessary) but i don't see how ADA fits in culture wise in NYC. You may disagree with me on substance but i think it's clear it may be more difficult to trade him considering that he's been traded twice already and with current events. So all of this may be moot
On a strictly hockey basis we already have a better version of him in Fox and Lundkvist is looking to be another offensive minded RHD ready to go by the time his season ends, on an ELC no less. Then there's Schneider who is a year or 2 away. |

if we can get Dubois without surrendering Lafreniere, Kakko, Fox, Miller or Shesty I'm pretty open to most other suggestions

I'll add Mika to that but i'm assuming that your list only includes younger players/prospects. Otherwise 10000% agreed |

yeah, I dont include players with NMC's in any conversation like this
but Columbus will need to take a 5 million contract back (like Strome or Tony D) to make the money work no matter the trade |

A big trade is coming at some point in the next couple of years. Rangers just have way to many prospects and young players then they can play. |

My biggest issue with Chytil.
If Gorts can pull that trade off I'll drive them to the airport. |

this NBA trade is bananas
I know who cares about the NBA, but imagine an NHL team trading 7 first round picks for a 31 year old player? |
|
|
|
It's unquestionable that his price tag comes down a little because of the public demands to be traded.
I would offer Chytil (young C to replace Dubois), Kravs, and ADA or Nils. That's a great upside package that really helps them replace any void of having a young star C on the team.
Is that enough though...? - Bean_Dip

I hope this backfires badly on Brooklyn. Giving up Levert and Allen was stupid as heck. |

That is true.
The other thing they could be doing is waiting for Zib to sign a new deal. Since he is a UFA in 1.5 years, they aren't going to name him captain because they know they will trade him for Eichel. - TPC

on Christmas Eve, I was absolutely hammered and I had $150 in gift cards to Amazon and I went on there and ordered this ridiculous signed Mike Richter jersey
I was immediately sorry I ordered it, anyway, the thing eventually got lost in transit, tracking had it going from Jersey to Kansas, to Pittsburgh, back to Jersey, to Cincinatti, so I went on an Amazon chat and they refunded the whole thing, so I used the refund to buy a new apple watch
anyway, the Richter thing arrived yesterday LOL
got it for free - jimbro83
So the moral of the story is: Get drunk and buy stuff on Amazon? |

drafting Braden Schneider makes Nils tradeable for a potential top line center |

I look at it this way:
Dubois is a known quantity in the NHL. Nils Lundqvist and Braden Schneider are both magic beans that we hope grow into star players.
If we can convince Columbus to take Nils in a deal as described above, you HAVE to do the deal! Why? What if Lundqvist becomes Tim Erixon 2.0? |

Don't full agree. I think Scheider and Lundkvist are different outcomes of the type of player they will be in the NHL and you want both. In fact, I would say Nils and Miller are closer in style and if one out-develops the other, than it makes the other expendable. Problem on D is that player development is different than that of a forward. So who do you choose. |

I would be comfortable parting ways with Nils, but he's definitely one of the last guys I'd want to part with. I don't think I would trade a whole lot more if he were to be included. |

He;s already our captain, (frank)er is way better than Kreider
Is a number 1 overall even considered a prospect? And Kakko I wouldn't move |
