I think the bigger question is who will be tonight's whipping boy?
Win or lose there is usually at least one player who looks like they should have no business being on the ice or makes such an egregious mistake that a majority of the board want him traded/demoted immediately. There will be a few dissenters who will point out the errors of someone else but there is usually a consensus crap player of the game.

You know, after listening to almost 90 minutes of pure filth from the Chicago Bears organization......as rough as these next years will be for the Hawks....at least they were transparent with their plan.
I have never had an issue with Rocky Wirtz and we as fans were lucky enough he existed after a reign of terror from WWW. If you look at the Bears we have seen Michael and now George, and what supposed child underneath her cheapness will allow this organization to do a 180 and become a consistent power?
Rocky Wirtz fired his president who made the Hawks a buzz saw. They won 3 titles and made 2 conference championship series and yes.....some of us wanted more. You only get those windows so often.
However, I don't see the light from Halas Hall. I don't No direction, no accountability, all they do is celebrate mediocrity, steam roll the media at every turn, and manipulate their fan base.
I'm excited to watch a young team with zero expectations and hopefully grow like we did with Buff and Versteeg, and Toews/Kane, seabrook, hammer, keith, bolland etc. Lets hope those pieces are here and if not, Bowman navigates and sells high on prospects they know won't hit but still hold high value in the league.
An organization with a vision is a helluva lot better than 1 who continues to operate with the band-aid on the titanic approach.
Young players will make mistakes so there's no sense railing these guys after every game....same with JC. Trust the process. |

I'd say under......they gave up a ton of prime chances last year that CC and Lehner bailed them out on. With a lot of new faces it will take time for the hawks to sure up that backend and have everyone playing to their allocated responsibilities.
i want to see young player improvement, bounce back year from DeBrincat, if Strome can produce consistently at center, and hopefully.....a lottery pick in the draft. |

Dont opening cup winners usually struggle game 1?
I was thinking 6-3 Tampa. Hawks get out early and than Tampa settles in and inflicts pain.
What is a parlay worth of 56 games in a row hitting on the over? |

Hey Steve. This is going to be the biggest challenge (not only here, but everyone). Patience wears thin when the results aren't there. Unfortunately, the main measuring sticks are goals/points and wins. |

Morning scoop. A source tells me Brent Seabrook has been dealing with back issues and could be back as early as next week. |

If I was the sensitive type, I would think you are starting a political statement with that picture.
Now back to hockey - I hope the Blackhawks think they are tanks tonight and just run over the Lightning tonight. |

[quote=breadbag]I don't mind them giving each of the 3 a fair shake to get a few NHL games in this season start. I'm still thinking long term Lankinen will be the best of all
It seems you and I are the only ones whom like Laakinen - jhawk59
Not true, I have said that I since I watched him in the world championship that he had the most upside of the 3 they now have there. |

That's not good news. Hopefully it's not too serious. He's still going to need a lot of time to get up to speed.

What? You don’t think he’ll pitch a shutout? The’ll need to keep teams <2 goals to win games this year. |

The poor guy is breaking down, but have to admit that he always gave 100% and was never timid when it came to contact, that is until he hurt his shoulder. One of my favorite all time Hawks. |

Truthfully, I think they will play with more defensive structure this season. They are going to boring AF to watch. But it is the only way to be competitive. Which is all I ask. Compete. Play hard. |
