I don't think they have the cap room? They have a 20 man roster and 226 in cap space so if they bring in a guy it is at least a 700 K player

If they bring in a player from taxi squad or minors, they only pay for the days on the roster. Expect to see teams doing a lot of this throughout the season.
Also, Hawryluk placed on LTIR today.

Edit: a 700 000 player cost 6035 per day that the player is on roster.

That was a dirty slew foot from Motte . Two in one game against his own team.

I don't know how the taxi squad cap works . I would think if a guy is 800k all of that gets added on and off of the cap instead of just one day salary.
