Canucks gap control in the neutral zone was much better last night than we saw last year, something I suspect Greener worked on with the team knowing they won't have Marky back there to save the day on a continual basis.

The game was close though, if McDavid and Draisaitl both convert on their hit posts the games tied. That said, the Canucks played a good team game...on to the next one!

Canucks hit two posts as well.

Again two of the best players in the world were on the other team . Almost impossible to stop those two.

Every game played last night had a team give up at least 4 goals

- VANTEL

The last two Stanley cup champs both gave up 1 goal only last night.

Game of inches, the point is the game wasn't a blowout by any means, could've gone either way. There were some definite positives though in that a bunch of new guys as well as our star young guys played really well.....on to game two

If you looked at it like that then Brandon Sutter is the first line left wing and Tyler Motte is the 2LC

The difference of a few seconds versus several minutes of ice time, is relevant.

Then guys like Ferraro who don’t lick balls get knocked for being real with their opinions. Right or wrong he speaks his mind.
- Nighthawk

I think that is mainly because he never acknowledges that he was wrong, not that he was wrong. And he is wrong a fair amount, at least about the Canucks.

Saw the Lightning highlights, Stamkos looked good, that's such a deep hockey team and they're missing one of their best players

He admitted that years ago he thought Kane was too small and his wife disagreed. Turns out she was right and he admittedly ate crow. That is why she is a scout and he isn’t.

It was probably good TB didn't need Stamkos in the playoffs.

After an injury players are pushed to get back as fast as possible. Need time to heal the injury, strength it and then strength the rest which normally there isn't time for.

How can you be surprised about the Avs?

Eklund had picked them to win the stanley cup.

I could have given him one reason, No goaltending.

I don't know how they lined up last night but I see Saad -3, Kadri -4, Landeskog -3.

Same with Boeser, he looked really good last night. I was going to type something in the first period but I didn't want to jinx him lol. Looks completely healed and back to the kid we saw in his first year.

He’s tough on the Canucks yes. Til poor contracts are gone he won’t change much. He doesn’t gush on teams like most do.

That's the funny thing about the proverbial Window of Opportunity. It only stays open for a short time. I think what use to be a 5 year window has now turned to a 3 year one.

Canucks should be ready after this year to make some big moves IMO because I think letting contracts expire after this year is a mistake.

I think after an injury or two these young players are learning better ways to avoid the injuries and strengthen the weak spots. You hear a lot about players doing a lot of mobility work now a days. Being more flexible.

Last year Boeser came in and everyone talked about how much he was filling out his sleeves.

Its hockey, it's not power lifting or bodybuilding.

OK so his wife made him admit he was wrong, unfair example 😂
