I think I am the only person in Vancouver that Sutter and Beagle don't annoy
- VANTEL
They're both good on the draws and PK. They know where they're supposed to be defensively, and Beagle works hard on the forecheck down low. Apart from that they're both offensively inept and they bring down the production of whatever line they're on.
I'm partial to Sutter over Beagle, but having them both on the team is redundant at the moment.
If they could somehow offload Sutter without giving up anything worthwhile, I'd be fine running with Beags too.
Or just sit and rotate them with each other. - NewYorkNuck
Other than Roussel and Motte, they don't have any other players who are responsible enough defensively.
Having a good 3rd line of checkers is fine, it allows the 4th line some very limited sheltered icetime against other teams 4th lines, while also allowing that line to hopefully develop into better 2 way players.

Offense isn't the problem on this team it is defensive responsibilities of the team, which both provide.
So they never gave Hoglander that assist on the Horvat goal. Thought that would have been corrected. Rob a rookie of his first NHL point...what the (frank).

If you watch the video, he never touched it. RNH poked it away from him and right to Pearson.

They're getting outscored by their opponents though. They're not terrible defensively but if they converted on more of their opportunities they wouldn't be as big a negative. Must be extremely frustrating for their linemates.

How are you feeling BTW? - YeOldTimer
When the coach puts a line together of 3 players who are known to struggle offensively, scoring some goals is going to be a problem for sure. Once Miller comes back, maybe they put Jake on that line to help provide some offense and move Motte to the 4th line to help provide some defense.
Is Baily drawing into the the 3rd line to add to Gaudette offence? Or is he replacing one of the old and slow black hole 4th liners like Sutter? - NuckUp
