Just read up on it...

Relatively poor defensively, but gifted offensively. Hasn't learned to "keep the play in front of him" was Berebe's comment recently.

They are asking for a 1st.

How about sending them Tage and a 5th.

I wouldn’t give up a 1st for a guy who gets like 75% ozone starts and still pounded defensively. Not to mention the last time he played his jock is still somewhere on the ice from when the All-Star Carl Grundstrom undressed the absolute (frank) outta him

The way it reads to me, and this is my own speculation, is that he probably felt that he couldn't carry out his vision, and he's just too old to deal with this bullpoop, so he's like why (frank)ing bother.

Couple of the TSN guys on twitter. Reading the Pens blog as well

They are saying ownership told him he couldnt trade certain players.

Had a trade for Letang and ownership said no.

He wanted an extension, ownership said no.

He didnt want to fire a guy, ownership disagreed.

I wouldn’t hate that swap.

The Sabres probly think cozens is your long term 2C. So that is maybe where they would shy away from that trade
