Think you're missing my point. Winning the faceoff usually leads to controlling the puck which can help with a scoring chance or getting the puck out of the D zone. Right? Rather have centers that can win a faceoff than Kreider taking a draw because he's better than the center.

Not missing your point at all.. sure it be nice to win all the faceoff but not going to happen. So if your able to have good retrieval it doesn’t hurt as bad losing faceoffs.
