Sorry you don't get the role (my post went to his leadership/energizing as well) he has isn't filled by any roster in the league. Canucks like most competitive teams can fill the bottom 8F and bottom 3D. Cap and NHL reality can't do more then play by committee for missing top players. - NuckUp
not trying to be a Richard, but can you please simplify this post, cause it makes next to zero sense. |

Yet I see people in these comments talking about how the Oil are thin if they lose McD and Drai. Like what team wouldn't be thin after losing their two best players?? Nucks are missing just one player and looked thin last night. Pete and Brock were near invisible. - Leichs
Don't Drai and Connor make up around 50% of the Oilers production? No 2 Canucks players combine to make up that %. Canucks rely on EP and JTM(our best 2 forwards last year) a lot less than EDM relies on McD and Drai |

Petey and Brock were invisible last night. The night before we beat the Oilers without JTM. You take Drai and McD out of your roster and you are battling to beat the Sens. Our team could still contend without a top player yours can't.

This division is going to be a war. If they don’t have the stomach for it then They should pack their bags and run home to quarantine with their girlfriends. After the 3rd goal Macjessu should have been ran or at least say something mean. They would have run Elias if the tables were turned - CanuckDon
Actually, it was Austin Pornstar I was thinking about. My bad.

Lol like you don't get NHL realities limit competitive rosters like the Canucks. That they can fill for missing players only past the top 4F and top 3D. That its 100% sensible that the leadership play of JTM in response to things not going the Canucks way was missed.
Is it hard to understand that a play by committee is the best that can be done in filling the hole?
Bottom line Canucks stars didn't bring it to make up for the JTM hole and Green didn't adjust. |

I am not disagreeing with what you are saying, im trying to understand the way your are trying to convey it. I understand that Miller leaves a massive hole in the lineup, but your wording and punctuation is hard to understand. Again, im not trying to be argumentative or be a Richard, im just trying to understand the context of what you are saying. |

Only a loser point Flamer would brag about giving up a 2 goal lead. |

i didn't watch the game, but that OT goal was pretty weak. He is always good to let one soft one in a night, so pretty much always expect that you must score at least 2 if you want to win |

No JTM no tough pull the boot straps response. When the Oil made mistakes in game 1 the stars shined. In game 2 the Canuck stars were MIA not executing.
Green didn't adjust or prepare for McD. After seeing him get tons of chances in game 1 he should have stapled someone on him in game 2. - NuckUp
Big problem is McD is so fast & shifty it takes more than 1 player to control him. We don’t have the personnel to do that. 1 player cannot shut him down & when he’s motoring no team can stop the best player in the world. In the day of Gretzky it took a team effort to minimize him. It came down to we looked tired & slow as TG pointed out. The special teams decided the game. The PK is still an achilles heal that will take some time to iron out. Newish roster showed its warts. |

People have got to stop saying No JTM. It is up to the team to have a roster that if one person goes down another can step in. - VANTEL
Good point. If a team is to use 1 player is missing as an excuse it only shows there is work to do or the supporting cast isn’t good enough yet. Jobs are on the line & players step it up or get replaced. It’s early so let’s not get up to wound up over 1 game. A larger sample size is needed & just just 1 more part of the evolution to contending. |

Bottom line is depth & the bottom 6 is a blackhole. Once poor contracts expire for vets not performing it will be prospects or new UFA’s that will decide how we ascend or not. At this time out warts were showing & patience is still needed. The roster is still developing & consistency is priority. |

You realize the bottom 6 were on the ice when Canucks scored both of their goals, weren't you.
4 of the bottom 6, Beagle, Sutter, Motte and Gaudette had pretty good games last night.
Just like we can't use JTM as an excuse, we can't keep using the bottom 6 as an excuse either.
Elias and Brock and Jake and Zack and the defense were not very good last night.
This is game 2 of the 6 games that I am considering as the grace period, to iron out the kinks.
No big deal, let's hope for a better and more consistent effort next game. |

Sorry but they got goals/for in both games.
Bottom line if the stars don't show up to fill the hole of a top guy being out; then, no roster can overcome that. |
