Calgary again on Monday, Habs in VAN on Wednesday. It will be easy to get in a funk with such little time between games.

Ya, hard to work on things in practice and give time off to recover when you're playing every other day.

I'm sure the calls for Newell Brown to get canned will start soon, if they haven't already.

I mean, personnel are basically the same. Couple new D men, but F basically the same. Coaches? Yup, basically the same. Systems? Basically the same. Pretty sure people complained about these exact same things last year.
- 1970vintage

Yeah. I think people saw last year it wasn't a recipe for success. This year, same sort of problems.

I've already got 3 coaches in mind

As I'm watching Podkolzin play right now, I can't help but think Green's system is made for KHL hockey

Move Sutter back to 3LC and put Gaudette on his wing FFS.

Gaudette appears to be lost out there...

Miller back will get this room going.

Horvat might wanna share that 'C' with Miller lol

What would you like Gaudette to do in his 8 minutes a game?

Sutter is still and always has been soft on the boards.

To me, move someone to take the draws with Petey. They have an extra center in the line up.

It took Jacob Markstrom 129 games to get his first career NHL shutout, but only took him one game to get one against the #Canucks

Well with the amount Gaudette's tires get pumped around here doing more would be better lol. His skating looks off struggling with some of the speed.

Sutter may be a lot of things but he handles the speed and defensive play of the game better right now. And with the right wingers can contribute. I'm not a fan of either really right now but Sutter is the better play at 3LC currently.

Miller should be back soon and he can take draws with Petey also. Pretty apparent how important Miller is to this club.

The #Canucks need more from their top forwards for sure, but it's also obvious that they're disproportionately reliant on their top guns. Team can't go *completely* flat offensively if Miller is out and if Pettersson isn't going.

And before someone yells at me for this: Yes, I know we're only three games in. Nobody's pushing the panic button, we're just pointing out observations

The team played this way with Miller last year at times too.

I don't really care if you are a defensive stalwart, if you can't be a plus to the hockey club, you aren't worth it. That's like saying LE is better than Boeser.

Life’s too busy to be here all the time lol but yes when marky shuts out his old team I’ll definitely come out of the woodwork to give you guys the gears.

On another note I have EP in my pool so he can pick it up anytime now lol

Great day of hockey yesterday.
Oilers get run over by Montreal, Edmonton’s goaltending worse in the North.
Flames kick the Canucks where it counts, on the ice. Total domination, Markstrom giving Benning the old FU!
Monday will be better.

Wasn't really a good game by any means by either team. Flames were 100% better, but overall it was sloppy. The one player who stood out to me was mangiapane. He is a hell of a player
