I have not liked Motte at all this year . . Five costly penalties in three games currently -10 . He was also a real Dbag in the two slew foot scrimmage.

4 Penalties. 3 times scored on.

Motte has a limit to how effective he can be at his best and for me it's not 16 minutes a game.

Two solid posts in a row,

The PP passes way to much, Markstrom made some great saves through the game but I totally agree he should have felt more of a physical presence.

Pretty hard to criticize the coaching when no one was interested in competing.

No it's not, just need to try a little harder.

I had mixed feelings about that signing . I think last season he hustled to impress and earned a raise . I had hoped he earned it with another team though. Same way I felt about Stecher.

It's not to often that PP2 gets more than 30 seconds of PP time and it is always after the puck gets cleared which takes 8-10 seconds off of any available PP time.
A player like Zacmac or even Edler should be planted in front of the net.

Oh definitely 30 seconds a few times a game. Motte is highest at 1:23 so far avg among non PP1 players.

He makes a few buck above Min to be an elite penalty killer. Just too bad he's been in the box for most of it.

He's just not a player I think is going to produce with extra minutes or PP time. Really so far all that has happened with extra time is he's found his way to the sin bin.

I love Motte. Great 4th/3rd line guy. No reason he should be on PP2. Needs to get back to his basics and not try to do too much.

I'm sure his game would look a lot better if he wasn't stuck with Beagle and Sutter the whole time, but such is.

Rous - Petey - Boes
Pearson - Bo - Hog
JV - Gaud - Bailey
Motte - Sutter - MacEwen

When JTM is back Wednesday, move Rous down and remove MacEwen or Bailey.

Agreed, if we continue to play like we did the last two games, we are guaranteed a top 4 pick. Green seems to have no real system, each game they play so differently. It's like they are a different team each game so far. And our PK is terrible, and PP is even worse.

Special teams are an embarrassment.

I remember Calgary being a true rival in the 80s and maybe a little bit again during the Iginla playoff battles but it’s faded IMO. Much like when Wild fans say we had a rivalry. Sure, ok.

For me it will always be Avs and Chicago. I still hate those teams.

I don't know about removing the teams #1 PK man for poor man's Motte.

Last year some complained about Green's lines in a blender so often and never letting the players fix it, now he's leaving the lines together and we are hoping for the blender.

I mean, the PK hasn't been any good, so not sure if losing Beagle of going to hamper them that much.

They're lacking spark and offense. Two things Beagle does not provide

Shambles here! 1st your mighty Oilers take a beating playing with an ahll goalie, then your Canucks can’t stop the power play. Made my night.
Keep your chin up, positive thoughts only.

Not much to cheer about, but plenty to ponder after Saturday's game in Calgary.

Would you be willing to bring in Michaelis and swap out Sutter or Beagle? I have laughingly said Sutter returns for another year. You need to develop your young players if you want to to move out the old ones.

If you are willing to accept losses they should be developing Gaudette and Michaelis but a coach looking for a contract is probably going to be going to his vets.
