You realize the bottom 6 were on the ice when Canucks scored both of their goals, weren't you.
4 of the bottom 6, Beagle, Sutter, Motte and Gaudette had pretty good games last night.
Just like we can't use JTM as an excuse, we can't keep using the bottom 6 as an excuse either.
Elias and Brock and Jake and Zack and the defense were not very good last night.
This is game 2 of the 6 games that I am considering as the grace period, to iron out the kinks.
No big deal, let's hope for a better and more consistent effort next game.

Yee I realized that I also noticed Petey’s line was hemmed in the Dzone a ton & were not much of a factor all game.

The bottom 6 did fine but McD was matched up a lot of the game with Petey’s line. Penalties killed us & our PP sucked Game over.

Good summary.
One game for sure where Tippet showed his coaching prowess over Green. Had last change and all but keeping McD away from Bo was key. McJesus and Drai had the run of the mill out there. Take your foot of the gas for one second and those world class players will burn you.

Disagree mostly. We were out skated & the energy level was opposite from game 1.

Consistency I will harp on all season is what is needed every game. Without that it will be a roller coaster of a season & in here lol

I thought it was a fun game to watch last night.

McD was flying out there. I was impressed with his drive, even from the end of game 1 when he ran Hughes at the end of that game.
The guy seems tired of losing 😆

The Oil were much better defensively-Tippet effect.
They had something like 25 blocked shots in the 3rd.

I thought Demko played well for the most part.
Would have liked to see someone put the body on Connor, but you’d have to catch him first. He’s on another level and it showed.

It’s a grinding sprint & fully expect many teams will face the challenges in this unique season.

Absolutely. Funny how no other team in the Division started the schedule that way. But when you finish higher in the play-offs then the rest in the division it comes with the territory. The JTM protocols was the extra gift like the cap recapture.
