Actually like this covid format. Every game is of the four point variety.

Its gonna be a crazy season, Good starts are a must, not like a full season where you can piss games away. Plus all the divisional hockey on top of that.

Very easy to fall behind this season. Going to add to the intensity of every game.

It's crazy to think early games are important but they really are during this current format. A couple of bad games to start really put the team in trouble.

Last couple of seasons yeah. Definitely going to have to rotate other players into the lineup with this condensed schedule. We’ll start seeing that coming into play in the next month or so the question is which teams have the depth to make that a viable option? We may but it’s unknown whether some of our younger players are ready to make the jump. Going to find out real soon.

Question: If you're Trotz, do you make any line up changes? IMO, no need to fix what ain't broke. As much as I would like to see Sorokin, Wahlstrom, etc., I thought everyone played their roles well in the first game, so I'd go with the same guys.

I wouldn’t but we’re going to see a different Rangers team tonight.

Why Wahlstrom?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to see him play as well. But all in all, I thought Bellows had played one hell of a game on Thursday.

Wahlstrom for Ross. Doubt you need both Martin and Ross against the Rangers.

Trotz: "I'm probably going to make 1-2 changes tonight." Liked everyone's game, but trying to get more people involved.

Also said he and LL anticipated needing to keep three goalies on the roster given the waiver claims of late. "It's a wise situation as you can see."

We all want to see that but defensively may not be the best choice. I don’t think Johnston is some amazing player but he knows his role and does it responsibly for the most part. I’m excited to see Wahlstrom and bellows together also but doubt it’s happening. Trotz will more then likely work them both slowly into the lineup to get them up to speed imo. We shall see...

Not to pick on the Rangers but this may be the team to give Wahlstrom a shot. Give him some confidence against that Rangers defense.

That would normally be very unTrotzlike but maybe with this shortened season it becomes more of a possibility.
