Math to LTIR for the rest of the season...best case scenario there! - iworkatinitech
Nah I’m glad rikki gets his shot. It’s long overdue but this will only hurt us when MM comes back. He’s just gonna have that much less experience with our system as all teams are starting to gel and get better. I believe he can improve and do a decent job as he settles but even if rikki proves him expendable there’s prob no chance of finding a trade partner. So all around it’s best if he plays. |

I don’t see a drop off from MM to Riik, other than cost. I’m not sure there’s much of a system truly to learn but regardless he’s not someone they should worry about keeping moving forward. This team when they win has been built on cheap D. It does appear though only a few games into this season that Marino is possibly the teams best all around D. |

I thought we looked pretty ok today. Some guys still don't look like they're fully in game shape yet, but Geno seemed to knock some of the rust off by the 3rd quarter.
Long way off from looking good, and at least we have our optimal blue line out there now, even if it took an unfortunate injury to get there. Thought RiikRuh looked good out there so don't think we're in danger of Ceci drawing in unless Sulivan just wants to rotate the bottom pairing all season, which is probably ill advised. |

I wonder what kind of move could be made
Any decent FA's still left looking for a payday? We could only trade for a guy with this year on his deal since we'd need the space again next year |

I know nothing about Roslovic, but where does he fit? Doesn't he want to be a top 6 center? Especially now that Jank looks like he might be worthy 3c. - madmike71
Roslovic is more of a RW than C. We could use one of those to replace ERod. It's a similar situation to Jankowski and Kapanen where there is some upside but not a guarantee.
I'd like to take a flyer on him depending on the price. Jets haven't had a spot for him with their top 6 forwards and they run a true shutdown 3rd so he's mostly been wasted on their 4th line. |

Pens got Riikola and POJ to try before they need to think about making a move. |

Wasn't necessarily thinking about defense, Got to be some kind of winger who can play who is otherwise dead weight on another team, that can be had for cheap
I secretly hope we'd bring back Flower so RW can lose him mind |

Kind of pisses me off Sceviour had to suffer from Lafferty’s poopty play early. Sceviour us definitely setting himself apart from the rest of the bottom six wingers as a real nhl 4 th liner. |

Man... I'd hate to see Tanev dropped to the 4th. But, I guess depth is always good. Definitely sounds like they shouldn't give up much. |

Yeah. As vanilla and a wiener zar is when he is ready to play will hopefully help stabilize that line with blueger and sceviour. He might be a bit rusty for some time though after his surgery though so maybe he won’t slot in for a bit. |

Rodrigues seems like he’s learning how to play with Sid and Jake. He’s looked fine. I’d still like to see how Kapanen fits in, but it doesn’t appear like Rod is holding the line back - drummer829
I thought Erod did well along the boards. Wasn’t shy to take some contact to dig for pucks. |

Unless Seattle picks him up pittsburgh probably can’t get rid of him even if they wanted too. And I’m sure JR doesn’t want to eat crow on 2 more defenceman. He's here whether he works or not so he should just play as much as possible and hopefully find his groove. |

He did look better. I’m still worried about Sid and Sully becoming infatuated with him. |

He'll be instantly demoted once Kapanen draws in. The question is whether Kapanen will be good enough to keep the RW1 spot. If that doesn't happen, then we very well could see E Rod back again. |

Can't rule out that what they'll really need is a goalie at this point. |

We should be looking to add a top 9 forward regardless, preferably an RW. |

Agree, not to mention questions of Kapanen and Rust as top 6 players. Having another option would be nice. If Tanev is pushed down because of legitimate depth and available to move up, that's better than seeing ERod being one injury from top 6. |

Well I think Winnipeg has no leverage in a trade as the whole lg knows he is refusing to play with them so I think his cost would be reasonable which is good because Pitt has very little to offer. So maybe. Can’t hurt anyways. |

Yea and with the way Ruth tries to be fair maybe the Jets would go with our deal instead of someone trying to rip them off. Idk haha. Still think Sully needs canned regardless. |
