I’m gonna think Hickey will get the nod first but if Barry and the staff think he’s ready I’m all in. |

Unfortunately TO’s that lead to goals against (2 last night) aren’t going to get you ice time. He plays a few more games like last night you may see Hickey in the line up. - nyisles7
I do not have an issue if Dobson needs to sit on occasion. |

I don’t think Dobson has looked consistently sound at any time he’s played with the big club. He doesn’t look ready period. I would say that even the game before last. You see little glimpses of good but overall he makes some incredibly bad plays multiple times a game. |

Of course. His angles still sucked and I expected them to be better. They say he looked good in practice. He's also had time to study and adjust his game.
I am going to chalk it up to nerves and hope he does better in the future. - JimmyP
Jimmy were you a goalie? I didn’t see game last night so going on what I’m reading here that he didn’t look good. Disappointed to say the least.
Edit: and day drinking so I got that going down me. |

Dobson may need some time in Bridge. I would not be against it if it is really needed. The problem is playing Hickey every game is not the answer either. |

No I never played goal. You didn't need to be goalie or a NHL player to know Sorokin was in the wrong position on several of the goals last night. Of the 5 he gave up I think only one of them wasn't really his fault. Also as others have said all the Islanders looked bad. It may have been the worst game as a team I've ever seen them play.
It was a tough night all around. I hope they are all embarrassed by it and have a strong game against the Bruins. |

It looked like he was locked into a position and could not adjust to the shots. I think it's important Sorokin gets right back out again and does not overthink things. Islanders better be ready for Boston. |

Got ya. Was just curious as you mentioned angles and positioning which goalies tend to think of. Either way sounds like he played so bad I would have noticed too as a former center. Let’s hope they use this as motivation and string a bunch of wins together. Really hope Varly is ok. We need mom to be back ASAP. Fuking Clutterbuck SMH. |

Bust - nyisles7
Not saying he’s a bust but having the kid sit on the sidelines doing pretty much nothing for the last season and a half didn’t seem to do much for him as far as his development goes. |

I know just (frank)ing around. Yeah if he could have played in the AHL last year I think it would have served him better, but he couldn’t so can’t do anything about that.
Honestly I didn’t think he played to badly in the POs last year when he was in. I also thought game one against the Rangers he was good as well as the rest of the team which certainly helps. I hope last night was just a bad game and he cleans up his act or he won’t get that many more chances. |

100%, stupid rule. The transfer agreement between the NHL and CHL needs to be amended. |

My brother said Dobson was brutal last night but I have to agree sounds like the whole team mailed it in. Gotta regroup tomorrow and move forward. |
