Totally but Redden at that time had more experiences, 40pts+ for four seasons in a row, he was pretty good and then it all fell down afterward lol - MONSTERSofMETALZ
Even though the drafts wouldn't have then worked out the same either, can you imagine prime Chara with young and healthy Karlsson? |

Let’s be honest. If it wasn’t about penalties and a 5v3, Habs would have won this game
Wait, did they lost to the Sens the other night? 🤔 - MONSTERSofMETALZ
what were the PPG totals for both teams?
Also, no team goes undefeated but you already knew that |

They had a solid lineups seriously. Even afterward, Karlsson, Stone, Hoffman, Turris etc. I can’t believe all theses pieces lineup are gone. Now they are restarting and hopefully they won’t make a third crash like this |

I’m talking about the Leafs didn’t had a huge game if it wasn’t about the 5v3 and a goal to tied the game because it rebound on the ref etc. Theses games happens but Habs deserves a better end. |

why did they have a 5v3?
and yes I know, montreal is the only team in sports to never have a lucky bounce |

Except Columbus doesnt want 6 players we find expendable they want someone to replace their first line centre. Trade one of our for Dubois and then Danault walks this summer and where are we? Worst off than we were at the start of the year and Dubois will be an rfa after next season and command a very big contract. He’ll be more expensive than KK because of his track record so far...of course the goal is always to get better but there’s a need to do that while fitting under the cap, hence why younger talented guys are such great assets. - Karine Hains
Nobody said it would be all of those guys or that they are going to CBJ. I'm simply stating that PLD's salary isn't that grandiose. If MB wants him and has the pieces, he has the ability to make sure the cap isn't what blocks a deal.

That cap hit is only for this season and next though, not great for long term planing. Sticking with our two young guys allow us more flexibility cap wise and if the results are good, you stick with the plan...but time will tell. |

Speaking of Chara, seeing him in a Washington jersey is beyond weird |

Honestly, the long-term cap repercussions may be overstated. Not only do we have two years to figure it out with many contracts ending between now and then, but isn't our hope that KK becomes a beast in need of a big raise eventually? If we look long-term through that lens, PLD is really only taking the contact we are hoping to hand to KK one day.
To clarify, I'm not necessarily advocating for or against the PLD maneuver; I'm simply stating that it certainly can be done if Bergie wants to. |

Not disagreeing with that at all, more that it's math and isn't up for interpretation. I know it may be semantics but 2 plus 2 is 4 and 1 win 1 loss is a 0.500% win percentage - Takemedrunkimhome
Well I mean the only stat that matters to making the playoffs is total points (ignoring tiebreak scenarios) and so far they 75% of the total possible points. |

Yeah I agree with you Karine. It's much the same with the idea of getting Laine where paying the cost in assets and the cost to the cap (short and long term) is not worth it, no matter how tantalizing the thought of getting these players would be. |
