Boqvist is sweet and he is slick. I love his flair (whatever that means), his ability to get the puck to the net (he has a knack). However, I know 43 year old men in my neighborhood that are awesome skaters that can try the game Boqvist plays. Any slick skating arrogant player can play that style. What am I missing?
WTF did the boys do the last week. Florida sun and fun. That game looked like one of my games with good players in semi shape. That was an NHL game? I thought we were going to rock and roll tonight and it was a total embarrassment of an NHL product.

No. It's not going to be a long rebuild. The rebuild is done. You folks, what do you want? # 1-5 draft picks for the next 2 years? NHL is competitive. We might get that. This is all on Bowman. The kid had a very good first year on a good team in London playing under Dale Hunter, who believe it or not knows something about competitive hockey. Bryan Campbell was in contact with the kid on a regular basis too. That's 2 former NHL players looking after the kid who was 18 at the time.

And then the brilliant GM decides he should play in Rockford the next season because as a Euro he could play in the AHL when other North American juniors could not. And then, voila he is brought up to the NHL halfway thru the season.

Perfect way to ruin a kid's career early by playing him in a league he isn't ready for.

I really hope this isn't the case. I can't believe how slow he is this year it doesn't make any sense. I really hope this is like a baseball player who gets brought up to early and struggles using all fields to hit the ball to and going back down to the minors helps him focus on just that, in Boqvist case just focusing on defense. The poor kid looks so confused

This team would be much more competitive with Toews and Dach in the lineup. They are an awful team right now no doubt, but u take any teams’ top 2 centers away and they would struggle. Sucks watching this right now, but I have resigned myself to be realistic. The Hawks are bottom feeders right now, and for the next couple of years. Unfortunately, there are no young Toews and Kane coming to save the day. JC is not the answer as a head coach either, but do you really think an established NHL coach wants to come to Chicago right now? Hell no!! Just have to realize this is the price u pay for being good way too long in a salary cap league when u tried to win year in and year out. Hawks sacrificed many young players and 1st round picks in trying to win as many Cups as they could in their greatest years ever as a franchise. Nobody female doged at the time we were raising Lord Stanley, but we are paying for it now in a big freaking way!! Sad, but I would not trade those 3 Cup years for anything!! Not drinking Kool-Aid, but being honest on what we will be watching for the next 2-3 years. Only spells one word folks, U-G-L-Y!!!

Perhaps like DeBrincat last season he put on too much muscle and he lost something off his shot and skating. Boqvist also needs to learn his craft better. Being rushed plus these things: too much

I'm thinking this was a deal with the devil. They knew they could get him cheap, they need to keep costs down.

No way they were going to get someone with talent to come here and coach this group without a big payday.

Figured they were going to suck, so didn't need a good coach for a couple years. Even the extension, 2 years was low.

I have been waiting for this audition since they acquired Entwistle....
