Its nice to see the fat man get a generational qb and attain his just deserts.
Hope you go all the way once more, Andy, we are rooting for you. |

It is no longer line one, they will not be deployed as the top line - ClaudeFather
No they won't. But if laughtons line can take on more d responsibility and Patrick line can not get caved in on possession then frost especially during these 2 home games could enjoy extremely favorable match ups with 2 young talented wingers who can keep up with his play making and speed. |

be interesting to see Caps v Pens today, must win for Pens? Not really, but close to it. I think the Pens show up and take it. - wcorvette

I think they are the most physical team as well with speed. We have seemed to match up well against them the past few years. Just have to keep their heads up. - Peter Richards
Yeah man. I didn’t watch much of today’s game, but about half way through the 2nd they showed a montage of Wilson buzzing around tryin to crush people.
I find it kinda strange that Wilson seems to be such a unique player. I realize that big, fast, physical players that have enough skill to basically play anywhere in the lineup don’t grow on trees, but who around the league that plays a similar style is even in the same ballpark as him?
I’m no Tom Wilson fanboy, but he definitely seems to be a very valuable player for that team. Just think it’s odd that there aren’t more guys like him |

I used to think no way he would ever be Wayne a Simmonds but he’s for sure that level of player. Probably better than Wayne 5 on 5 but not as impactful on the PP. |

Wilson is not close to the level of player that Simmonds was in his prime.

Not close is a bit of a stretch, at 5v5 they are extremely similar. Check the stats bud. |

There are plenty of guys with size, speed and scoring ability who play a heavy game. Guys like Seguin and Benn for instance. Perry once upon a time. Brady tkachuck is a modern day example he was top 5 in hits and potted 20+ goals. And they can fight some too. However they are far too important to their team to get in the non sense Wilson gets into. And hes still prone to ridiculously stupid penalties when you get after him. |

Yeah, I am loling at Seguin being a heavy player too.
Benn seemed different this past playoffs. I did not notice much hitting at all. Maybe I misremember.

I consider both Benn & Seguin to be on a totally different level than Wilson in terms of skill, so really not the same style of player IMO. Plus as others have said, Seguin really isn’t Much of a physical player.
The Calgary Tkachuck definitely came to mind for me, but I think he is more skilled than Wilson too. I think he’s just young, and hasn’t reached his ceiling yet.

Wilson isn’t anywhere close to Simmonds. Simmonds scores 30 every year or at least close to. Simmonds isn’t dirty and respected by opposing players. Simmonds was top three in power play goals most seasons. Heck, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Simmonds smack Wilson around a couple times. |

Agree they are all higher skill. Thats kind of the argument. Wilson is unique because he has all thst skill but ultimately doesn't completely live up to it and still gets into way too many boneheaded situations. He could potentially be tkachuck or benn |
