Joking about Carey is fine.

I couldn't even tell it was a joke to be honest.

No wonder you and Pat are friends.

First off a joke vs joking/being sarcastic are different. If you thought my belief was that after more than a decade in the league, playing in some extremely high pressure situations, that the Habs brass thought they had to protect Carey's confidence in the 3rd game of the regular season against a team they just dominated then I'll be sure to use italics next time so you don't think it's a sincere comment

Well to be fair, with all the nonsense being spewed on this site, who can really tell whenever anyone is serious or not?

Kinda like the guy and his story; he had it rough and then the alcohol abuse. I like those kind of cinderella stories. Besides, the Wings are so so bad that he's gonna get icetime and PP shifts.

Sports logic/sports fan logic has always amused me. Being in the lead at any time is good regardless of bad omens and all that. That line should be replaced with never a bad thing to get the early, mid or late lead. The lead is what you want.

A two goal lead isn't the worst lead in hockey, a one goal lead is, like seriously what the preschool math failing (frank). Every time a commentator says it part of my brain dies

isn't the 3 goal lead supposed to be the worst? and I think there's some sort of psychological aspect to it, when there's a momentum shift during a game, but you're right it doesn't really make any sense
