I'd play Byron on that line and move Toffoli to RW.

I would also, send a message to Armia to wake up. Might also help Toffoli, the chances are there, seems to have confidence issues. Being back on his old side might help

Very difficult for him to earn anything from the Taxi Squad, sitting him all year won't help his development or confidence!

He can practice here until the A starts or an injury strikes. I'm not in camp or practice, no idea if he's showing some give a poop level but with the depth the Habs have for me he either gives the coaches no choice but to play him or he enjoys the press box

I've been saying for a while now that Toffoli's best seasons were played on the right side where he mostly played his whole career.

Putting him on the left side doesn't help him at all.

Agreed. He's AHL bound unless one of our centres go down.

When is the AHL expected to start?

And he should be groomed as a power LW, not a C

I'm not convinced.

Don't get me wrong, if Danault resigns in montreal, his only future with the team would be at LW.

But if Danault leaves, wasn't the whole plan moving forward having Poehling as a potential good 3rd line centre?

Also: I made my decision, I want Tatar to stay.

He's the best faceoff guy on the team...

Also, not sure about Tatar, guy is greedy, he'll ask for more than he's worth.

Maybe he should have been in shape for the summer playoffs rather than recovering from his "big year"

Perhaps.

But when you see guys like Hall or Hoffman having trouble getting good long term deals in a flat cap world.

Maybe, just maybe, we can get Tatar to stick around for something close to the Toffoli deal?

4 years @ 5M? 5.5?.

Tuna's been great for us since he got here, I don't think he's been appreciated enough.

I believe that's a paper product but we may need to reach out to good on paper for clarification

Agreed for sure on Tatar

If Danault leaves, that will probably become Evans' spot with Bergy most likely signing a vet to C the 4th line... I just don't like the idea of another 1st rounder just going to waste and like I said, it will be difficult for him to prove anything from the Taxi Squad

I wouldn't sign him over 5.5M$ per...pretty sure he'll ask for 6-7.

Punishing him forever for it doesn't help the team in any way
