It might not be about moving Gauthier up as much as it is maybe giving him better players to play with. I’ve loved what I’ve seen from the kid so far and he’s a big body at 6’4 230, maybe after a loss to stir things up try him with Kreider and Strome, obviously not after a 5-0 win though. - nyrangers9479
Poor bastard. Stuck playing with 1st and 21st overall picks! |

Gonna depend on Buch. If he does his typical disappearing act, could definitely see Gauthier moving up. If Buch plays like last game with his effort, he aint going anywhere. |

Just (frank)ing with you.
You might be right, but I am not in favour. They would not be playing up to their potential under those circumstances. - Tonybere
Yeah, thats the downside. The 2nd game will probably look like pond hockey |

He got demoted to the 4th line last game though, right?
I just hope he isn't another Vesey though. Great work ethic but stone hands. |

Which is another reason why he may be on the 4th line right now
I think everyone just needs to calm down and let the season play out for a couple of weeks |

I haven't seen anything that makes me worry about that.
Last season he was flying up and down that wing, driving the net and making skill plays. Just missed finishing several times. I thought he looked good, but needed to adjust to the speed of play/defenders a little more.
Future looks bright for him, I think. I don't see a lot more 4th line time for him. |

But it would certainly favor the team with the youngest legs and 2 good goalies, right?
Lets play 2! Bring it on! |

Vesey wasn't nearly as fast but if you look at him objectively, he was one of the hardest working Rangers and just couldn't finish. I didn't mean that as an insult, I though if Vesey could finish he would easily be a top 6 player |

I'M CALM!
Yeah, things will settle out after more games. Just need the team to really click for a stretch cause you go on a 4-5 game losing streak this season, you could be (frank)ing done. |

It's been all over the league so far. Teams winning one night and getting blown out the next. It may take about 10 games to see who is really legit and who is in trouble. |

Young line. I’d actually like to see Kreider on the 3rd for matchup problems for other teams.

I hope so, I finally want to have one of those point per game for their career rookie players. We never get those |

Finally have a solid 1st instead of a player like Hughes. Kinda glad we picked second that draft. |

Last year, in 70 games PLD had 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points.
Last year, in 70 games, Ryan Strome had 18 goals and 41 assists for 59 points.
So, so, we are giving up 5 first round picks for PLD. And, if the team misses the playoffs and gets a lottery ball and lucks out like they have done the past 2 years that goes to Columbus?
I like PLD. We are thin in prospects at forward. We have built a healthy stable of good young prospects. We will have an extra $15 million in cap space to sign a fee agent center, if needed, come this July with no cost in players or top picks.
I think the rush to judgement to bring in PLD at a cost like this is premature and short sighted. |

Understood. There is a big difference in the way that Gaut is not finishing compared to how/why Vesey didn't finish, though!! |

Yeah, was just going to say that, while I haven't seen him play yet, people are saying he looks like a different player so far this year. 15lbs heavier, too.
K'Andre will introduce himself tonight!! |
