I read this late last night, then had night-terrors, so thanks for that 😂😂. Seriously, in a word: YES, I see a scenario where Manth's traded; high 1st, high 2d, rostered #1 D, #1 prospect D.

You set a strong line-up there. Mantha's getting a tad older, still has usable years, legit producer (40+ goals is VERY realistic), hits like a train, booooomong shot. But it would take a team selling the D the the Wings, and that ain't happenin. The scenario above (the get for Mantha) is as unrealistic as trading him.......at this point in time. 3-4yrs from now????🤔🤔🤔🤔

I think Honka keeps getting chances because he was a first round draft pick (14th overall). I'd stay away. He is what he is. Not good enough for the NHL. He's closer to being a suspect. He was drafted 7 years ago.

It would all depend on an extension. If he’s willing to do 5 or 6 years, probably. If he’s set on MTL Or NYR and going as soon as his deal is up, no way. CBJ got burned by a few players like that

I’ve been on hockeybuzz since the crazy free agent frenzy in 2012. It always upset me the wings blog was a dead zone lol. It was always worth coming back to see eklunds crazy rumors though 😂 but seriously since Jeremy came here a year ago I truly look forward to logging on here a few times a day to see what y’all are talking about. Tampa is sniffing there as well as the Avs. They have an advantage of returning a quality center that can play right now! Which CBJ would prefer.

I made a Mantha proposal and a pick and a center prospect Raz or Veleno a while ago.....but if the trade were right now I poo pooed that because I believe CBJ wants a good center NOW ...I don't think they want a C prospect for right NOW. But a trade like that would probably work beter in the off season. Just my thought.
