Tampa is sniffing there as well as the Avs. They have an advantage of returning a quality center that can play right now! Which CBJ would prefer.

Tampa, Cerilli, Coleman and a pick....probably have to be a 1st...they don't have a 2ndt il 2023
Avs....Kadri, Kaut and Timmons

How AWESOME would one of these teams be if ......WOW

We can't compete with an offer with Cirelli included. Coleman is a rental. The AVS offer isn't as good. I'd take Mantha over Kadri.

I made a Mantha proposal and a pick and a center prospect Raz or Veleno a while ago.....but if the trade were right now I poo pooed that because I believe CBJ wants a good center NOW ...I don't think they want a C prospect for right NOW. But a trade like that would probably work beter in the off season. Just my thought.

But which team is going to give up a top 6 center plus other assets just to get a slight upgrade in Dubois? Suzuki might end up being better than Dubois down the road. Tampa just won a Cup with Cirelli and even though Dubois is better, is he really THAT much better?

Dubois wants to be a Ranger but if the Rangers know this then why would they even make a fair offer? They'll look for a Rick Nash ripoff trade. Jarmo isn't going to roll over just because Dubois wants to pretend he's James Harden calling his shot.

I bet Dubois won't be traded at all. Unless Jarmo gets fair value the vulture GM's can kick rocks. That's how I look at it. I don't know how Jarmo would keep his job if he gave away Dubois for pennies on the dollar. Why even have a team if you're just going to be the Montreal Expos? A feeder system for the NHL.

The Columbus Blue Jackets shouldn't exist to be the New York Rangers farm club. Remember when the Red Wings gave Marcel Dionne away? Before my time but what an embarrassing trade that was in Red Wings history. Adam Oates for Bernie Federko?

Yeah well I am just guessing with pieces that will work with there caps....I am sure there are many configurations, and Coleman's extention can be extended beforehand. But you are right....so...
Cerelli, (Volkov, Stephens or Joseph) and a 2nd for PLD
The caps would still work.

Exactly! That is why if it happened in season Jarmo would want a good NHL center. So it probably won't happen til the off season....and if Torts happens to be let go then MAYBE PLD stays....It is always fun to speculate but 95% of it never happens!

Tampa has to be careful. The assets Stevie accumulated are starting to dry up a bit and pretty soon JBB will have to start drafting his own quality players. They have good young guys coming up like Barre-Boulet, Katchouk, Raddysh, Alnefelt. But none of these players will be Point, Kucherov or Vasy.

If I'm Tampa I just keep what I have. Cirelli is a perfect 2C to Point. If it ain't broke then why fix it? The Rangers could really use another top 6 center. But if they're not willing to pony up then Jarmo should hang the phone up.

I remember back in 2001 when Holland traded for Hasek. Hasek called all the shots. Trade me to Detroit or St. Louis or else I'll retire. Oh and by the way, I want to win a Cup so don't give away too much. Kozlov and a 1st? Really? That was highway robbery.

I mean I was very happy as a Red Wings fan Holland made that trade. But then I thought how bad Sabres fans must've felt. Holland took all the credit for a trade Hasek made by himself. 😂

This kind of reminds me a few years back when Lou Lam was shopping Willy Nylander for a "top 4 defenseman." But which team was going to give up a top 4 D for him? It never materialized. Dubois might not like it but he could be playing in Columbus for the remainder of his contract.

Despite having teammates such as Alex Delvecchio and Mickey Redmond, Dionne's frustrations with losing were evident. His agent, Alan Eagleson pushed for more money. The owner of the Los Angeles Kings, Jack Kent Cooke, offered Dionne $300,000 per year. A deal was struck with the Red Wings and Dionne was traded for Terry Harper, Dan Maloney, cash, and draft picks; Dionne then signed with the Kings on June 23, 1975 and became their franchise player. At the time, it was the richest deal in hockey history.

Yeah I seen him play. I was so frustrated that they traded him I quit a good job at Ma Bell, packed up and headed 500 miles North and a bit West and did not watch another Wing game til 1997. And I am still here!

Man you took it hard! Well 1997 was certainly a great year to start watching the Red Wings again. 👍

Yeah, they don't need to make a move til summer.

But I floated another trade on their blog
Do the unthinkable and trade Point for PLD, a 1st and a2022 2nd
That would benifit their pipeline and I really don't think there would be much drop off from Point to Pld because of the much better linemates he would have.

Actually when I moved here there were only 3 TV channels I could get. And Big Bird did not play hockey well. They did have a start-up of college hockey at NMU and I did watch the Wildcats for quite a few seasons. I first seen Dallas Drake there.

I'm still pissed we traded Dally Drake and Chevy for Bob Essensa and some plug named Sergei. Back in 1994. You know. The year the Professor and the Sharks beat us in 7? I'll never forget a rookie named Osgood balling his ass off after the game. At least we got Dally back for our 2007-2008 Cup run. 👍 Does anyone remember Sergei Bautin? He apparently played 1 game for Detroit. I don't remember him. 😂

Honka clears waivers. That needs to be a wake up call. If no one will take you for free...

I know it's early, and last year they had a good first few games also, but this team feels more enjoyable to watch. I hope Brome can start producing, reminds me of the one year AA had a good season and could create plays from nothing. The Ryan reclamation project is great so far, he looks hungry and playing like he wants to be here and wants to produce and prove himself. I kinda don't want Blashill to keep cocking over the lines, leave the top 2 alone, because Larkin, Bert and Mantha were finally starting to click, and Ryan can be such a good mentor for Zadina, and they look solid together also. I don't know why you would want to break either up. Just let it marinate and get their rhythm going.
