Huge game tonight, huge, if they don't win...they're in a world of trouble!!

I get the contract hate, and trade regret about Baer... but ya, is he not an NHL caliber player at all? He was over a PPG last year in Utica. I'm sure with their offensive woes to start the season he'd be fine on a line with Gaudette? Especially as he's become more of a passer, which the team lacks.

Baertchi I thought would get a shot. If Hogs sputters maybe infuse Baer on Bo's line? Bo needs a kick in the ass he needs to get things rolling. When CGY went up 3-1 last game I was expecting more from Bo. Especially after Turtlechuk was pulling his Kesler/Burrows routine and Monahan was cross-checking Petey. Bo needs to Captain like Iggy IMO...if players take liberties with our stars then handle it like Iggy would have. Lead by that example and the rest of the players will go to war for you. Waiting for Miller to come in and lead is all great but Bo needs to step up huge. Hopefully tonight is the night.

I would like to see them do that with Loui also. I don't care what the PK looks like . If Gaudette and Jake are going to remain Canucks then develop them to fill the spot on the PK. It is stupid to bring back a 6 million dollar bust every year because he can kill penalties.

Clearly there's a huge rift. Haven't heard anything negative from/about Baer being in Utica the past while. He had 13 g, 33 a, 46 points in 43 games – not like he was sucking ass down there.

I thought for sure they would have put him on the taxi squad. Guess they really don't want him around. Wonder why?

I don't remember a riff between Sven and Canucks. I would not be surprised if the Canucks are just trying to bait him to walk away from his contract. Goldobin also had a good year in Utica but not good enough to be a NHL player.

I am not sure Sven will get a NHL contract next year. I can see him in the KHL. He is approx .400 ppg . He always seems not good enough to be a top six player.

Sven is a better defensive player than Goldy, though they are pretty similar perimeter players. I just thought with his attitude, chemistry, and relationships within the team, they would have kept him as a taxi guy.
