I get the contract hate, and trade regret about Baer... but ya, is he not an NHL caliber player at all? He was over a PPG last year in Utica. I'm sure with their offensive woes to start the season he'd be fine on a line with Gaudette? Especially as he's become more of a passer, which the team lacks.

I was just questioning, since he's clearly capable of playing in the NHL (similar season points as Jake), why the slow-starting offensively starved Canucks were shipping him all the way down to Utica. If his contract was league minimum, would he be playing on a team? Most likely.

The Canucks as a whole right now are a soft team. Jake isn't doing much in that department. MacEwen not doing much. Sutter not doing much. Not advocating he gets a spot, just wondering why they've seemingly been harsher on him than others.
