If the Canucks can keep executing that tic-tac-toe pass to Horvat on the powerplay, they'll score plenty of goals.
Habs had no anwser for it over 2 games and Horvat shot it perfectly each time. - Scabeh
Imagine if the plan A of the Pettersson one timer from the reverse OV spot was working too |

Contact to the head and blindside hit.
I won't dare guess how long the suspension will be but it's almost certain he's not playing on Saturday.
Which might be for the best for things not to escalate. - Scabeh
Head yes, but he hit him dead center from in front, don't see how that's a blind side hit.
That's what happens when you show boat, old time hockey, put up 4 points like a punk, Myers will sit your ass down! |

The Vee's play better D than VAN did last night.

What’s wrong with EP? He’s stinkin it up. Would you guys do PLD for EP? Add minor picks or whatever needed? |

This is what I said last night. A top 10 pick this year could be pretty huge for the team moving forward. Imagine getting to draft Carson Lambos, that'd be sweet.
That said, it's very early and they still could figure it out, I'll cheer for wins all along the way. - NorthNuck

how does the 2021 draft look....?? asking for a friend!
@Hockey_Robinson
Let’s just say this, 2021 is definitely *not* the year to tank.
@MoneyballMafia
Was 2020? How strong of prospects are guys like Byfield, Lucas Raymond and Alexander Holtz in comparison to typical top 10 picks?
/Cam Robinson
@MoneyballMafia
They would go 1, 2, 3 in ‘21

I have a slightly different opinion on this years draft than Robinson.
Most professionals usually have a different view than him. |

Five clearcut breakaways and on one the second guy coming in waited for the puck to come back down to the ice surface and he still had a couple seconds to react because there weren't any Canucks coming back in time....absolutely disgusting defensive effort.
They gave up 42 shots against, how long can we keep giving up this many shots and Benning doesn't address it? It was said many times in the off-season that Markstrom saved their asses on multiple occasions, if they don't get the same goaltending they're in trouble. Well guess what, they're in trouble.
Demko stopped multiple breakaways but not even two goaltenders in the crease can get across quick enough to defend against lateral passes five feet out from the net. |

He probably pulled a night shift at the gas station eating a full supply of chocolate bars in the process to ease his pain |

Canucks didn't play this badly and make this many glaring mistakes multiple times in one game and in multiple games in a row. |

On Josh Andersons goal, you can see the entire team, outside Hughes just doggin it back. Gaudette didn't try and get back until it was already too late. That is the difference right now, our guys just aren't willing to put the effort into getting back, nor clearing the front of the net. |

Can't disagree with any of this. At this stage of the game there's no easy fix, other to ride this out. JB better not make a dumb desperation trade.

A lot of those mistakes can be easily corrected from last night. By a new coaching staff. |

Benning's taken this team as far as he can, he's not a 'builder', he's best at the draft. Need someone who can take the pieces he's put together and build on them. Might as well hire an experienced coach too |

Well not everyone, I didn't.
Shinny new toy is always better.
I think most who want to give the kids a chance this year are prepared to just pack it in already to save money on Petey and Hughes because of Canucks cap troubles. |

I'll say this, I don't like Vantel's top ten prediction if they don't make a coaching change in a hurry |

If I was the owner, i'd be hard pressed to fire the GM who has 3 straight calder trophy finalists.
Not all GM's will be as good at drafting as Benning but they might be better at other areas.
They might be worse in all areas as well. |
