Soft, everyone can agree on that. hog Highes, Elias, Rath, Juolevi etc. Our core are a bunch of smurfs. Swapping out Elias for a gritty Canadian w skill will fix a lot of issues

had a little reeb inspired rant there last night.

for all those who say it's a week or so in, true enough and the schedulers weren't kind to vancouver but let's be honest, they never are partly b/c geography.

to me it's the manner in which they lost. looking lost against opponents that i don't think they're even going to be fighting with if they want to be at or near the top. maybe mcjesus lifts edm, maybe markstrom gets calgary in. i think mtl has a bunch of new faces and will come down. tor, wpg i think more likely near the top along with what i thought could be van based on last year's progression.

The more skilled hockey clubs will take longer to get going.

The good new is also that, they won't play that way every game. I mean they played almost that bad the game before and won.

If I had a vote I would wait it out a lot longer. Fans are having a huge laugh at the expense of everything falling apart to the start of the season. I turned off the game after two periods last night it was that hard to watch.

I have no doubt this is more than likely Greens last year but waiting longer when other teams fire their coaches gives you more of a selection instead of being focused on one unemployed coach that can't find a job.

The longer the bleeding goes it also gives me as a fan a longer look at players I would not get to see in a normal season like OJ Chatfield.

Petey and Hughes have been way below par and I want to see how they rebound. The plus side of their poor play is it has taken them out of the 9 mil per year contract talks and dropped them to 7 mil or lower if the poor play continues.

Lastly for me it will show or expose Benning. It is going to be a very big year next year and I want to see how he stickhandles out of his mistakes like Loui and the bottom 6 .

Joni Jurmo is not having the best season.

He failed to stick in the Liiga, can't find a spot on the power-play at the U20 level, and is out as a rotating healthy scratch this morning.

He was always going to be a project, but these aren't great signs.

I see all over social media the should have brought back Toffoli Marky and Tanev complaining.

I will point out that Toffoli has only scored against the Canucks so far this year. Seeing his line mates Petey has no goals and JTM has no goals I will go on a limb being familiar with Canuckism and say Toffoli would also have no goals .

With the same lineup as last year we were close to 50 shots a game against . Playing 6 games in 8 nights with 50 shots against I would expect Marky would be out for 4-6 weeks with a pulled groin.

Tanev . We have gone through 8 Dmen in 6 games . Tanev and his ironman streak he would have been gone after game four.

Troy Stecher would have been our top pairing guy again

The porous defense is not really all that different from last year, the only difference is they don't have Marky to bail them out anymore. Not signing him was definitely the right call, now the biggest issue to be addressed is allowing fewer & lower quality shots for the team as a whole.
