Tanev was always the guy to take the hard hit to move the puck to Hughes, now it's just Hughes taking those hard hits with no one to move it to - NewYorkNuck
Don't worry, players are leaving their positions to come to his defence because he will do it for them.

Why do they need to be blue chip prospect?
This team need better players to fill out #5/6/7defense and bottom 6 forwards.
Imo the top 6, with the right 3rd wheel, is decent enough to be pretty competitive. - Reubenkincade
I just dont think Saunter/Briesbois are NHL quality.
They've already had looks.
Chatfield is a big ? but he's played 1 game.
Maybe Bone next year.
Woo seems like a longshot at this point

Two years ago when Brisebois got his 8 game stint in the NHL. He looked like a much better player in camp this year and in Utica last season as expected.
He may not have the ceiling as some of the others but he looked more ready than others. Like on par with Chatfield.
EDIT: Don't worry Woo has a lot of tools. By not worry, I wouldn't listen to the "critics" Canucksarmy and such.

Elias Pettersson has had three point droughts of four games in his career (including the current one). He has never gone five games without a point in the NHL. #Canucks

Brisebois is 23 years old, a year or so younger than Chatfield, about 2 years younger than than Rafferty and 20 months older than Rathbone.
Plus, he was given maybe 8 minutes in about 8 games and I believe as little as 4 minutes in another, that isn't being given a chance.

He's played in the pro's in Utica too for the past couple years, no?
He's never been able to crack the top 6 is what i'm saying.
he's a fringe nhl'er or a classic inbetweener.

I don't know how anyone could write off a player who hasn't even played a pro game yet.

He's probably never going to be a superstar, so him coming into the NHL early isn't going to happen. He's been soft and timid throughout the years but has gotten stronger and more assertive.
