Short season though. I'm much more patient, but Vin is right this year. You go on a losing streak gonna be almost impossible to make up points - mdw7413
Out of 8 teams only 1 or 2 at most will go without a significant losing streak.
A slow start doesn’t mean it’s over. Just makes it harder. There is a ton of talent here!! Miller is blowing my mind! I didn’t see a lot of his college play. I tried to keep my expectations low. |

Dubois looks like he’s gonna be in a new sweater by tomorrow, hope it’s us and we don’t break the bank, think this is the one we can’t let go of easily - KreiderBomb
Def won’t be us. Prob winni or Anaheim. Not gonna trade him with in the Division |

It may not be us, but this entire "they won't trade him within the division" is garbage. They will take the BEST package offered! Taking a lesser offer in a trade is nonsense and will lead to the GM getting fired. |

According to a bunch of insiders sounds like the finalists right now are Anaheim, Winnipeg and Montreal |

Gorton better get his ass out of the outdoor dining section of Applebee’s and step up to the plate. With such an obvious piece available, have to be in the mix. |

If Winnipeg is offering Laine going to be hard to top that unless someone like Kakko is involved |

Laine went on injured reserve today, they won't disclose the injury so that may ruin a trade... |

I think JD is still in big picture mode, and will do very little this year to change the team. It’s basically, a 56 game tryout.
A few encouraging signs from last night. Chytil and Kakko looked good, Kakko needs to continue to go to the net, but he’s starting to get it.
Fox continues to impress, he’s an all around very smooth player, with tremendous hockey sense. And K. Miller is going to a star in the league, hope Quinn leaves him alone.
Speaking of sense, it made no sense to sit Gauthier last night. |

Dubois to Winnipeg for Laine done - Rangers99
Surprised Columbus made this move, they must feel they can resign Laine. Don’t know much about Roslovic but he’s actually from Columbus. Oh well, time to move on from that distraction. |

That would make sense since CBJ needs a #1 center now. Didn’t realize Laine is still a RFA after this season so he does hold a ton of value still.
Barkov it is! |

The trade doesn't make sense for Columbus and now their Center position is even worse than ours ---- who is going to feed Laine the puck? Real head-scratcher unless Columbus flips Laine... |

I would. I can't see him and Torts working out, plus Laine has a ton of value. Basically a 35g 65pt player. Since he has come into the league he is 9th overall in goals scored. |

Watch now Winnipeg flips Dubois to us lol. Just checked their roster and with Dubois 10 of the 14 forwards listed are centers. |

I doubt it, they needed another top center behind Schefie (can't spell)
Although it will hurt them this year, he can't play for 14 days due to the quarantine rules of crossing the border |

Ouch!
Does that also apply for US to US trades? Depending on the city maybe? |

Well if Barkov makes it to UFA at least it will only cost money and we could move assets for other holes |
