I would think that Zibanejad and a 2nd round pick would get this done

PLD for Elias Peterson.
Canucks look awful and EP has been a big part of the issue. Not sure if he’s hiding an injury or what? - TurdFergeson
Benning would consider this if there was a Seth Jones in the package

No one is disagreeing that he is a great coach but I hope the GM is in on these exit meetings because there seems to be a trend. - CameronJ9
What does Kekaleinen have to do in this , he assembled this team, listened to Tort's needs and got it done.
Yes he lowballs his RFA's, in what way is that bad, he has a salary cap to manage and the owners interests, so yeah damn if he does damn if he doesn't |

The difference between PLD and EP is not Seth Jones.
Maybe a minor piece but not much. PLD was a stud in the playoffs. EP is really struggling this year. |

Dubois to Detroit maybe? - Garnie
Why not if Larkin is available

I can't see Benning trading Pettersson even if he has struggled the first 6 games of the season. I can see rangers thinking this if Zibanejad is available.

Ek it would be great if you could post a video of other bad shifts and kinda walk us through what's happening on the ice. That would be pretty enlightening. Just an idea for you.
Zacha and Butcher have close to zero value. So when you say draft picks you hopefully mean an unprotected 1st as a starting point. Maybe a 3-way with Gaudreau or JVR + Ghost? - Kooleus
You are not getting an unprotected 1st from a team projected to be bottom 2 in the division and bottom 5 in the league. If he wants out, you take the best package from any team and move on. |

I never said it was going to happen. It’s extremely unlikely. But both teams need to do something. Or they’re going to be watching lotto balls. |

Heard Dreger say on the Instigators that Adams is inquiring. I would trade Cozens straight up for PLD. |

Well, Benning should have thought that before letting Markstrom go and signing Holtby as replacement

If he were to go to Philly - they should ask for Ghost (money and reclamation project with MAJOR UPSIDE) plus a premium prospect AND a first round pick.
And the Flyers should DO IT.
Torts wears players out and this relationship is broken.
AV isn't going to take poop from him but he'd be on a LOADED team in Philly. |

I'm a Devils fan, and I don't think Zacha, Butcher, and draft picks are good enough at all. If I was CBJ, the asking price starts with Hischier. Why would CBJ trade their best forward for essentially a bag of pucks? I'm not saying Zacha and Butcher are terrible, but Zacha isn't Top-6 talent and Butcher isn't Top-4 D.
If I were CBJ, I would circle back to the Rangers and see if they can get Kakko. I'd also see if the Kings would be willing to move Byfield or Turcotte for PLD. |

Its definitely an older style of coaching... Its fading fast (See Babcock in Toronto). Players were a little tougher mentally back in the day. The league isn't as tough as it used to be and the newer generations are a little bit softer. Some players... mainly the older ones still respond to that style of coaching. But I can personally say from my Junior and College hockey days that there some players respond well and some really don't to the old tyrant snapshow coaching. As time progresses there will be more in the second category. - CameronJ9
This is in a nutshell what is wrong with society in general. People to worried about getting their feelings hurt being politically correct.
Enjoy your sissy coaches and babied players.
Glad we have Chief.

Any team that was potentially looking to add Pierre luc has just lessened the offer. I would think no team wants a player that puts effort like that in. Just because you don’t want to be there doesn’t mean you disrespect your teammates. You don’t have to like your coach but suck it up buttercup! You make 10m over two year!! |

Disagree, Torts is a top douchebag coach in my opinion. But i hate his Rick Flair Wrestling antiques when he tried to beat up everyone in the Flames locker. AND HIS idiot savant press conferences

I think they should probably move on from Torts. He is successful as a coach in terms of a record but its obvious guys don't want to play for the tyrant (See Panarin, Bobrovsky, Duchene and now Dubois). Its the old saying - if you think everyone else is the problem then maybe its you. - CameronJ9
I disagree. I hear there are plenty of players who actually don't mind playing for torts. Not many coaches would have brought Columbus as far as they've been the past years in the playoffs. Some players just are soft and can't take it if they are being challenged.

Lol. Ghost isn’t a player with major upside. He’s not a Torts type of player at all. Why do Philly fans keep pushing him as the major piece in trades? |

it makes the most sense to send him home until they can accommodate the request. i cannot imagine it's a comfortable situation that's conducive to team-building right now. and why expose the asset to injury risk, even in practice? |
