Problem here is, no matter how much he wants out, this is a poor display of character. This might have a negative impact on return come trade time.

Barkov is unlikely to resign next year. They might not get another crack at a big center like Dubois.

Ah ya Branstrom 1 for 1 is a JOKE but PLD has not proven he is an elite # 1 C either.
Honestly he would likely not be in the top 20 centers in the league.
If you go by points since 2017-18 he ranks 42nd of all centers and in that same period his faceoff winning % is 44%!

Sucks to have to do distasteful things for money. How many endure so much more for so much less every day? Not going full on commie here, but at the same time it's hard to be sympathetic towards a princess who's found a pea under the mattress. Get back to work PLD. Best way to get a job on another team is to earn it in Columbus.

Agreed. Torts can be an Ahole but he is a good coach, a fair coach and he's straight forward. He doesnt sugar coat things. If he doesnt like something he will call you out on it.

Frankly if Im a team looking to acquire Dubois Id be second guessing the decision to make an offer. You cant just sit there and coast until you get what you want. I would not want this guy as a teammate if this is how he acts.

He's a baby who cant handle the truth. Torts is hard on him because he expects more from someone with his skill. You have to earn your ice time in the NHL

Two things anyone who thinks Nico isn't enough to bring in PLD is a clown, that trade would never happen anyway unless fitz finds some really good crack in downtown newark. PLD is also not going to mtl this season along with a lot of trades that probably wont happen between US and canadian teams due to the quarantine process the players would have to go through.. people are acting like PLD is some sort of generational talent, he's had a couple decent seasons and now he's acting like kenny powers...
