If you wouldn’t do Suzuki for PLD in a one for one swap, then I really do question your mental capacity. That’s a flat-out dumb thing to say
Read this article. PLD’s stock has not dropped at all. Teams are clamouring to get him, and the price will be sky high.

Jarmo is a notoriously patient, intelligent GM. He won’t be strong-armed into anything
If Bergevin could get PLD for Suzuki and a 1st, it would be a miracle, and his best trade to date - AxlRose91
Haha. Player A is 21 years of age with a cap hit of $863,333 this year, and next year. He just scored 41 points in 71 games as a 20-year old. He got better as the year went on and ended up leading his team in playoff scoring. He is considered a great teammate he gives 100% every night.
Player B has a cap hit of $5M this year, and next, and will then require a qualifying offer of $6M+ thereafter. He scored 49 points in 70 games. Pretty similar. His face-off percentage is worse than Player A. And he now has a reputation as a self-centered whiner who quits on his teammates.
I'll take Player A and enjoy the $4M+ of extra cap space.

Player B was also a monster for his team in last years playoffs. If that is what he plays like on his new team they are getting an awesome player. |

The Habs already have filled their quota of French Canadian 'star players' that quit on their previous team. So unless it's a straight up trade for Drouin (and it wouldn't be) then hard pass. |

Armia as a piece of garbage just recorded four points last night.
However I agree, Jarmo would want an elite center iceman coming back. - stay@home-guy

Player B is French Canadian too. |

Actually I don't think Yzerman wants the Whiny frenchman, he got rid of 3 of them in Tampa....Vinny, Marty and Johnathony

Oh okay, I get it, it's a language thing, makes sense. |

Swing-and-a-miss, my simple-minded friend. Zero chance Jarmo takes a package that includes neither a premium player nor a premium pick
PLD had a bad shift, yet you’re acting like his stock has plummeted. He’s super young, and already a stud in the league
Package from MTL would start with Suzuki and a 1st - AxlRose91
Laughing. Suzuki right now has massive Superstar upside. He is trending to be in top five players in the league within two years. PLD would be more of a one for one with Koktiemi and a second. Remember that a third pick for a third pick. MTL could offer Danault, Poehling and a second. Anything else would be too much. |

The usual garbage from you as expected. Why would we give up our cost controlled, up and coming stud center for a good, but not fantastic center who will soon be due for a raise and has emerging character issues and throw in a 1rst to facilitate it? You must have been hit in the head by a Pierre Luc Dubois slap shot.

One 41-point season on a bad team = top five player in the NHL within two years
There you have it, folks
Apologies for attempting logic. Clearly no appetite for that here
In that case, Leafs may have to go ahead and offer Kerfoot + a 3rd
Imma go buy myself some Nick Suzuki rookie cards |

Right now Suzuki has more upside. Also, MTL doesn’t have the cap space for a one for one. MTL isn’t giving away parts that work either. Really, maybe Cole Caufield, Poehling, Danault and a second. |

Let see, MTL hasnt lost in regulation. And Columbus is a disaster. If you watched the games and the players then you’d get it. Your logic is three levelsbelow tRump. MTL has 750k in cap and you suggest a 800k for a Dubios contract. Stop taking LSD fool. |

I am honored you quoted me (whiny Frenchmen), Vinny was more a money thing than a whiny thing. St Louis going all little biotch over the Olympics was surprising as that had never happened before that I know of.

Tabernac, son! That’s some serious rage. Have a drink, simmer down. It’s Friday, and Nick Suzuki is on his way to shattering league scoring records. Life is good!

I'm not a Habs fan.
Top 5 in the league is silly.
But equally silly is your idea that Montreal is better off trading Suzuki for Dubois, adding over $4M to their cap, and then somehow adding a 1st for that privilege. As I said...Next!

Teams tend to add picks when given the opportunity to acquire superior players
Anyways, I’ve already shifted from beer to wine, so I’m out!

Not a habs fan either, but think they’re building a pretty good team. Stick with what they currently have, habs shouldn’t go for it because he’s French and interested, stay the course. |
