Barkov is not available unless there's more in the Dubois package
- stay@home-guy

Roster players? There was also prospects or picks in there.

Swing-and-a-miss, my simple-minded friend. Zero chance Jarmo takes a package that includes neither a premium player nor a premium pick

PLD had a bad shift, yet you’re acting like his stock has plummeted. He’s super young, and already a stud in the league

Package from MTL would start with Suzuki and a 1st

- AxlRose91

Sorry. But Columbus has no leverage. If PLD shut his mouth and didn't go public then Jarmo could have quietly searched for an attractive hockey trade. But he went public, and now his benching is the top story in the league, so nobody is going to offer fair value anymore. His value isn't zero, but it has diminished significantly. Zero chance that Suzuki is involved. Maybe KK. Other suggestions like Larkin or Pettersson are ridiculous. Prepare to be disappointed...

Sure they could offer Mantha as the main piece. Problem is Jarmo will want a young top 6 center who can play now. Detroit doesn't have that. Veleno isn't ready. Dubois is an upgrade on Larkin talent wise. But it only would make Detroit slightly better.

Yzerman isn't going to trade Larkin who he just named Captain for a suck who quits when he doesn't get his own way. I agree with the poster above. It's Rangers or Habs if he is traded. But Jarmo doesn't strike me as a guy who'll knuckle under for a lowball trade.

- gergeswillems

Detroit could offer Mantha and Rasmussen Raz has looked rather good, but, yes, he is bottom 6 C this year and his trajectory may be a 2nd line C
. His net front on the PP is impressive also. So , Mantha, Raz and a 2nd for the whiny frenchman?

Pretty classless effort from a pro athlete. I'm sure a lot of teams will still want him, but that's a terrible attitude to bring into your room. Wouldn't be surprised to see a spite trade to somewhere he doesn't want to be like Arizona - go fade into obscurity.

Lol Suzuki for Dubois straight up is AT BEST a sideways move for MB. Also his value is ebbing by the day. No way is Kekalainen getting a 200 foot stud who will put up comparable numbers to Dubois (at about 82% cheaper to boot) AND a 1st

Actually I don't think Yzerman wants the Whiny frenchman, he got rid of 3 of them in Tampa....Vinny, Marty and Johnathony

I wouldn't even do Suzuki for Dubois 1-for-1. But careful, axl might label you simple-minded like me.

I think CBJ wait to see how PLD responds in his next game. Torts isn't worried about PLD's trade value, he's worried about winning. I don't like that style but he's been very successful so let's see how the kid responds. I think he was embarrassed and will come out blazing next game. I'd love to see PLD in Montreal though KK or Danualt, a high prospect (Caufield) and another mid level prospect (maybe poehling). I just don't know where they make the room under the cap.

Exactly! that is why it would start with Danault....plus Armia but their contracts would have to be negotiated. I really think these players are Torts style players as well. Add Poehling and it is close to done!

Suzuki is looking really good and since he's younger, I can't see why Bergevin would do it. Plus now you know how PLD deals with things...

PLD will not perform for NJ. He wants to go to Montreal, but Montreal cannot afford to wait for 2-3 wks to get him in the line-up. But if they could get away from giving up Kotkaniemi or Suzuki this might work:
Danault + Armia + Poehling + a 2nd for PLD

Columbus sits him and send him to Montreal, make the trade when his quarantine is over

Lol. Ghost isn’t a player with major upside. He’s not a Torts type of player at all. Why do Philly fans keep pushing him as the major piece in trades?
- TurdFergeson

Cap space buddy. Cap space.

And he isn't dog meat. Recent 60 point D-man.

Maybe he could use some Torts in his life.

Axls reasoning: Kekalainen: ''So Marc we will gladly take Suzuki off you hands for Dubois since we know he will at least match his production. Also for the honor of relieving us of 4.2 millions in cap space in the process we require that you kindly include a 1st round pick in this deal''

Classic Hab fan response. If the deal was 1 for 1 Bergeron jumps all over it!

I haven’t even looked at the Wings lineup in awhile.

Not sure, but they must have some pieces other then Larkin?

Nope. But not because of the players. Because of cap.

Any team trading for PLD better make sure he signs long term or you will have a talented but disgruntled player waiting to become a UFA.

He’s RFA at the end of this deal.
