Why are people thinking about a Laine for Dubois swap? Laine is a terrible teammates, CLB aren’t going to grab another bad selfish player, under Tortorella? Haha, no way I see this. My guess is Ehlers or Connors IF they really are in it. Jets problem is Défense though even if they would be offensively dangerous.. but that’s a dangerous game right there.
Anaheim as some interesting stuff actually and they might be leading this. I doubt Zegras is in it, but they have interesting young players.
For Habs, if they’re still in it’s because we all know Bergevin wanted him before. I’m actually not sure what they could be offering. Suzuki and Romanov are a huge No, KK is a maybe. I could see Danault part of this but my question is why would they do this? How would Gallagher & Tatar see him leaving. Whatever happens will be done after the game or tomorrow. I initially thought MB wouldn't move. keep his team as is.
but this team, while much improved, is still not good enough imo to go all the way mainly because of the lack of experience of the center line.
if they want to have a real chance in the next 2 years (Weber not getting any younger), they may feel PLD is the answer.
now, how they would make it fit under the cap... beats me. that would have to be kk + a big contract + picks or prospects
the good news is, staying pat is not a loss, not with this start of the season.
