When I said “hear about” that refers to fans and media constantly talking about buy outs to remedy JB’s poor record of signing useless FAs.
Worse yet is the suggestion of adding a draft pick to dump the same problems.
I hope there is a point in JB’s tenure that we as a fan base can be content with the roster he’s assembled and our only concern is watching the group mature and develop into consistent playoff performers. - bloatedmosquito
Pretty much a tactic used by every team in the league.
Don't take this the wrong way but your feelings don't matter. Canucks should pounce on getting rid of Loui next year whether you like it or not. Don't waste a contract year of some core players because you don't like it.
For 6 million dollars and trade Jakes 2.5 for a pick and you can get a top end forward or Dman.
Benning has bought out a player once not a big deal

I hearya but i don’t suggest giving up picks to erase mistakes. It’s bad enough to buy out a player but imo it might be necessary. - Nighthawk
Not a shot at you at all. You’re correct that a buyout is an option to resolve poor management. I hope that JB eventually learns how to assemble decent role players to compliment his exceptionally skilled core. And doesn’t have overpay to attract them. |

unfortunately there are a lot of old white guys that are racist. I don’t have manners for people like Vantel, regardless if you make take offence on his behalf. It’s not my fault his Richard doesn’t work. |

How about not signing stupid contracts like LE’s in the first place? I’m not confident he won’t do it again. Myers is heading that way. |

Actually you hate everyone that isn't first nation . You are just too ignorant to realize your ignorance .
For the record I am sure the broads would say you have no manners at all. |

I hated the Eriksson signing . It broke my heart hearing all those chants one more year and people applauding in here that he would extend their careers .
I hated the Sven contract and said two years 1.5 per. I got steamrollered in here by all the people here wanting 3 mil per.
I do see them now complaining bitterly about it.

Season is pretty much done...Calgary has 4 games in hand and is still ahead lol
Passing the Habs, Jets, Leafs, seems unlikely
So that is four |

I am not saying or even thinking the Canucks are a contender, but you Flames are kinda like the Leafs, celebrating the October Stanley Cup.

First, that link is irrelevant because of the nature of this season and come on now look at who you are comparing the Canucks to
Who said anything about the cup?
I said the Canucks season is likely done...pretty hard to be top four with such a bad start in a short season.
49 games left and Calgary has 53 with more points...would have to out pace them by a lot the rest of the way. Same goes for the other three teams I mentioned.
The Canucks have allowed 33 goals in 7 games FFS |

I am a bit surprised that no one commented on how Toffoli did a bit of a turtling act when Horvat had to come to the goalies defense, or is it okay that a guy who clearly did not attempt to get out of the way, turtles?
I know 9 wouldn't want Bo pounding on me and I think Toffoli realized he Fucked up. - Reubenkincade

Goals against means squat the winning % over 6 games is the big problem. Unless Neems school of math is used. Climbing more teams ahead of the Canucks lengthens the probability they cannot overcome the slow start. St Louis aside the odds are heavily against it even at this early juncture. The full weight of divisional games only will become more apparent as the season goes on. It’s equal to the chances Johnny hockey finds his playoff game. |

Todd Reirdon? Also another coach that should have been on the list. Worked as defensive coach under Trotz for years but didn't fair very well as HC. - manvanfan
