Jets fan here, yeah Button is a moron.. Lol
Dubois is an average 2C and Lowry is nothing more then a 4C, he's such an overrated plug, gets played way too much, the guy has never clipped the 30 point mark in his career yet is considered a good 3C, so sick of watching his useless ass.
Schiefele is pretty weak defensively too, if Button thinks that's the best 1-2-3 center depth in the North Division either he's trolling for clicks or he's just a moron, it's probably the latter. - JetFuel
I think the trade makes sense because the Jets top 6 f group had one of the worst defensive stats in the league, they have a responsible player now.

If you think Evans is a AHL player, you clearly haven't been paying attention.
Suzuki-KK-Danault-Evans are looking pretty damn good so far. I have no complaints towards them. - Scabeh
Evans is a 7th round pick that is 24 who will be 25 years old this year. He has played 19 games in the NHL and I admit that I've seen only perhaps three of those games. Is he as good as Engvall another 24 year old 7th rounder? Maybe, Maybe not. Who cares! Chances are not great that either will have impactful NHL careers. KK has been a disappointment so far. Both Tkachuk and Hughes have shown more so far - still early. Suzuki has looked very good so far, he was an excellent pick up. Danault is about the same level as Bozak. I remember when Bozak was the Leafs #1 center.

Yup, classic Garnie.
Has opinions but nothing to back them up, you are basically Craig Button which is ironic considering the convo here |

I think you mean 159 points (93 assists) in 239 games.
I think Dubois is pretty damn good and has the capability of turning into a Bergeron type two-way guy.
Having said that, he's not even in the same conversation as AM34. Button is a tool. - mjones242
Bergeron lite, perhaps. I assume you’re not suggesting that we’ve seen enough to suggest he’s got what it takes to become another Bergeron. He’s good on a strong defensively structured team. You’re not prone to exaggeration so I’m safe in this assumption. |

I think Danualt is a bit underrated...He will go to the FA market and will get paid.
A lot of teams will see him as someone they can slot into their 2nd line C spot and be okay. |

Jets are pretty strong at centre. But it’s a good thing everyone took it well. |

Danault is considerably better than Blowzak. He's a way more rounded players who manages around 50 points without any powerplay time.
Evans progression has been constant and I fully expect him to be protected from the Kraken.
KK is already loads better than he was a year ago. He was the youngest player of his draft year and we're only seeing the tip of his potential right now. I'll give him the needed time to keep improving but I'm glad we didn't ship him away for Dubois in the end.
Suzuki is a star in the making. Probably the best young centre the Habs have had since Koivu. Might even be a ppg player starting this season.

To be fair, Bergeron wasn't elite 2-way Bergeron until he hit a stride around 24-25.
Not sure if PLD has the potential to reach that level, but yes, Bergeron-Lite I think is well within reach.
Perhaps Ryan O'Reilly would have been a more apt comparison? |

I think Ryan O'Reilly is a very good comparison yes.
Although I don't know enough about Dubois's defensive game. I know he's strong on the puck, plays physical and can score goals but... is he a future selke candidate? Really no idea.

But is he a number one centre? Bozak was a number.... nope, I can’t do it.
