really eh? well if that's the case then yes Allen does become expandable...Primeau is only 21, I thought it was still a bit young for a goalie but perhaps I'm wrong

Habs are in a great place. Allen could be replaced. so is Edmundson. and so are Lek and Byron. pick anyone you want we'll be fine and save some $$

If I'm the Kraken.

I'd take Fleury.

Who's probably gonna end up the best of the bunch.

- Scabeh

that would really suck. and probably worth throwing in a pick to select someone else

yes, assuming Primeau would be ready. play 30 games in Mtl or 45 in Laval?
easy call imo

Think the kid will be great as well. He could probably do Edmundson's job right now.

If im Bergevin i want to keep Allen, no point rushing Primeau, he’ll get more games as well if he graduates when Price is older. The expansion draft is the perfect occasion to unload Byron’s contract, we might have to give the Kraken a pick as an incentive but it’s worth it.

my assumption is that Primeau still needs more mileage in Laval, but if he's ready then by all means put him as Price's backup

I agree with this perspective, I'd want to keep Allen as well

If Bergy really wanted to keep Allen, he wouldn't have signed him to that extension knowing full well he was gonna have to expose him... he would have waited and re-signed him after the expansion draft

it will be difficult for the habs to get a better scenario than vegas picking emelin and its 4m cap hit (lol) but we sure have the depth not to be too affected by any departure. as other,s i just wish they don't take fleury. i liked what he brought last year, could play on 3rd with romanov and he is cap friendly for some years to come.

That's probably why Jake Allen is such a hot topic in here this morning.... but on the bright side, at least it won't be a late game

Or, like the optobus, after one bump in the road, half the passengers got off and demanded the guy who built the bus be fired
