His positioning has not been good and rebound control is pretty terrible. Only two games in I know but still not something you want to see. I’m thinking the team may not be feeling to comfortable playing in front of him just yet. I’m in no way placating to the BS we saw tonight but the two times he has played we’ve seen the same team. I don’t think that’s coincidence.

Nine goals in five games is the problem not Sorokin

Gotta say seeing that goal that Hughes scored, I'm not putting that on Sorokin at all. That was a (frank)ing dart of a shot from inside the faceoff dot with an uncontested forward in Sorokin's face.

The other goal, not so much. Bad rebound....

That really was a sick shot by Hughes and hard to call it a bad goal. 2nd goal was on Sorokin.

I actually rewound that a couple of times to rewatch it. He looked like he was screened initially and then had a clear sight line. Thought he should’ve had that with the angle I had and didn’t play the shooter. You can see he knew the shot was coming from what I saw at least. Whatever sick of dissecting this

So we need some Komarov on the third line. I think a Komarov Pageau Johnston line will rocket us straight to the top.

I think he was able to see around the Devils player, but lost initial site when our dman (can't make out who it was) went down for the block. By the time he tracks it, that shot was too damn fast and well-placed to react.
Sidenote: whoever that dman was, it would have been nice if he were a tad bit more aggressive there

Like I said Sorokin seemed to settle down after that second goal. With that said the devils just went into lockdown mode and really weren’t pushing with the offense much after that second one. Bottom line is he looked much better then that first game so it seems(I hope) he’s a work in progress.
