Ok but Roussel & JV are not exactly keepers.

Together their D is horrible & no playmaker on that line. A poor line design that hasn’t worked & likely not to improve. One has to push for a top 6 wing spot & that is farfetched imo. Both require 2 line mates that can hold their own on D. If not they’ll bleed goals. JV should emulate Hyman as his opportunity is dwindling.

I’m not a Sutter fan but have to admit Sutter looks to be a better third line option right now. He wins faceoffs and he’s better defensively, which the club sorely needs.

You can’t move Gaudette though because Sutter eventually always breaks down.

Do I think it, who knows. The players you are offering have as much worth as Goldobin did. Did Van come out of that ahead with SJ because of Rathbone maybe but I wouldn't take that chance for a second time and ask for more than a prospect and a 4th for Virtanen
