Yes and even Benn looked decent and mobile last night. - LordHumungous
Benn has been decent . I wonder what happens when Hamonic and Chatfield are healthy? I know Green's job is on the line but I hope they keep playing OJ and Chatfield.
Benn and Hamonic will be gone next year so these young guys need to be ready to step in.
There is just a serious lack of quality centers between the two teams. - manvanfan
Obviously they are working on the situation . It is not at a crucial point but they are preparing for the "What ifs" .
Right now they are still three centers ahead of Lind if a center or two go down. I think they will also address it in the offseason. The D seems to be taken care of.

I doubt Lind ever see's any action at centre in the NHL. Normal season, wouldn't be a problem, Michaelis would be down there, and Graovac. Lind would be back on the wing.

Like I said I think they are just preparing for the what if everything falls apart scenario and will address the center position in the offseason.
Linus Karlsson contract is up this year. - manvanfan
I obviously don't know the teams plans but I think they will probably put Costmar under contract this year , draft a first round center. I also think they will bring Sutter back one more year on a one mil contract and to everybody's hate after another year of hockey talk to him about being Manny's replacement as a coach. (Same as Edler replacing Baumgartner's replacement)
I also think they will sign a center in free agency 3/4 th line guy.

If Sutter was making $1m nobody would hate him. It’s the $4+m in cap space tied to him - stopping them from using that money to address real needs that’s the problem.

There were a lot of dumb contracts and dumb decisions made in the first year of new management . Sutter was suppose to buffer the departure of the twins and ease the arrival of Bo.
So many things were wrong with this team 6 years ago and now they are climbing out of the hole. . This team had next to nothing 6 years ago .
There is still a few smaller things to fix but it's getting there.

I have no issues with Sutter being the Canucks Joe Thornton, but for $4+m I’m expecting at the very minimum a Perron (minus that stupid smoky visor)
