I think the two contracts that have done the most damage were Loui and Sven . I remember there were a lot of people in here very much in favor of both .
I thought Jakes's contract was an overpayment by a million . Sh1t happens . None of these things matter if Petey and Hughes don't play better. The team will find success or failure by how those two play not Sven or Jake. - VANTEL
I was never on board with Sven but I did understand why JB went after LE. Big year before the WHC and then he looked unreal good with the Sedins over-seas. Lots in here were fine with the LE signing. Sucks it didn't work out but such is life. |

I’ll add the extra year for Roussel & Beagle. We didn’t have C depth after Gillis wasting drafts so I somewhat understand that. Roussel injuries have tainted his signing. Sven looked better than he was when we had nothing else. Also again that’s on Gillis leaving an empty cupboard. JB traded 2nds early on yes to try to fill depth problems he inherited. That’s on him & TL & indirectly FA. |

Rousell's time here appears to be over...
happy?
lol - LordHumungous
Yes fairly happy if we can move his last year or even a buyout is fine. I like him but he’s easily replaced. |

Myers is the new Loui. It's nice to have both right now. Put the darn phone away on July 1. |

The contract & structure drew the most ire & pretty impossible to argue. |

I’m ok with Myers other than his giveaways drive me nuts lol
Too many major gaffes to start the season & makes me wonder what exactly Baumer does. I continue to pine for him to be replaced. |

I think Roussel as a fourth line player is okay. He is not a fighter but he is one of the few that can neutralize the other teams fighters. He is smart enough not to try to beat them just tie them up.
He is also the only one to go disturb the other teams goalie or star players. He still is a poop disturber. I think he is fine with Motte and Beagle.
I would take a look at a few games of Bailey replacing Jake . At least Bailey uses his speed .

Bring in Gallant as an associate to be disciplinarian & hard on players who don’t work or brain fart. Who sits in the eye in the sky for coaches? |

Actually Benning did that this year and fans are now complaining we didn't sign players to long term deals.

Left field time oh oh lol...
Go 11/7 & spot Myers as a winger & use his meanness a bit. 😂 |

I disagree on it being indirectly FAs fault. He had a mandate to retool and remain competitive. This forced JB to try and trade for pieces to do that. It's JBs fault he was not able to properly assess NHL talent and wasted picks on trash like Vey and Gudbrandson. |

Gudbrandson Vey Sven and Granlund were all traded for because when Benning took over he was handed a 21 year old (approx) Bo and a 22 year old Gaunce (approx|). Then it jumped up to a 31 year old Higgins and no team toughness . There was no players in the 23-30 year old range.
Loui Miller and Vrbata were brought in to compete.
A lot of poop was tossed at the wall until some of it started to stick. |

Canucks are getting another practise in today, should help build some systems play. I actually saw Boeser, Petey and Miller play a 1-2-2 in the third period, pret-near spit out my coke zero - Pacificgem
Hopefully Green tells them his previous instructions to give away the puck at the opposition blueline was incorrect |

It's one game but I saw more of what this team needs, hard on pucks winning races and battles. Nils Hoglander isn't going anywhere the kid is exactly as I hoped and he seems to find chemistry with whoever he plays with. Bo is playing how a captain should and he said this weekend ( I think) " i will just go out there and lead on the ice and in the locker room and everyone will follow" I am paraphrasing a bit but that is the main point I took out of it. He must have worked on his shot after the playoffs because I have noticed some extra zip. I may be in the minority here but I like an alpha like Miller snapping it means he's pissed at his teammates and himself, the lotto line will be fine. |

I want to see Miller on tv in Jakes ear all the time til Jake gets it or gets pissed. |

That's why you use "dry eraser" when dialing it in on the white board genius, so you can erase things |

From those I know, much like Jim Benning he was a fresh new beginning with much promise, however, as time went on you could see he was in over his head. - Pacificgem
Some things along the way didn’t work out so great & why I’ll expect more from him. |

I wanted Francis instead of TL oh well lol |

"Flyers captain Claude Giroux will set a franchise record on Tuesday when he plays in his 611th game at team captain; surpassing the combined two-tenure stints Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Clarke had as Flyers captain from 1973 to 1979 and the 1983-84 season."
Big day in Flyers history, y'all should tune into the game tonight and watch it |

No but I also was resigned to the fact the team was a mess. It’s taken a lil longer than we all like but I’m liking our rebuild so far. |
