I obviously don't know the teams plans but I think they will probably put Costmar under contract this year , draft a first round center. I also think they will bring Sutter back one more year on a one mil contract and to everybody's hate after another year of hockey talk to him about being Manny's replacement as a coach. (Same as Edler replacing Baumgartner's replacement)

I also think they will sign a center in free agency 3/4 th line guy.

There were a lot of dumb contracts and dumb decisions made in the first year of new management . Sutter was suppose to buffer the departure of the twins and ease the arrival of Bo.

So many things were wrong with this team 6 years ago and now they are climbing out of the hole. . This team had next to nothing 6 years ago .

There is still a few smaller things to fix but it's getting there.

All in all the retool/rebuild has been good. Only beef is a few UFA’s signed a year too long. Never liked the LE deal thinking the Sedins needed him. Using that train of thought a cheaper signing made more sense.

Burkie (a former GM ) backed up the difficulties of signing an UFA with a Canadian destination. He said it is usually an overpay.

I think the two contracts that have done the most damage were Loui and Sven . I remember there were a lot of people in here very much in favor of both .

I thought Jakes's contract was an overpayment by a million . Sh1t happens . None of these things matter if Petey and Hughes don't play better. The team will find success or failure by how those two play not Sven or Jake.
