I loved the Bracco pick. I would always go for the talented or interesting player over generic guy #7.

Before anybody goes off. I'm glad Texier is proving that taking a chance on a guy can turn out.

To this day I still can't believe the Oilers traded Wayne Gretzky. I know why. Oilers owner Peter Pocklington was broke. He couldn't afford to keep that team together. Paul Coffey had been traded the year before for Craig Simpson. But the Oilers had just won 4 Cups in 5 years and they traded Wayne Gretzky. I was shocked.

Rumour had it that Sather said "LA or Detroit." I often wonder how different hockey history would've been if Gretzky chose Detroit.
