At least Johnston got benched in the 3rd. Trotz was mixing up the lines in the 3rd. Let's hope that mean line up changes.

Johnston only played for 8 minutes. Barry saved him for OT, but we didn’t get there. Caps are lucky.

Not really sure what Wahlstrom has done so horribly in practice to have these two, useless, plugs, be in the lineup over him when we can’t score? However bad or terrible these things are it doesn’t matter. These two guys have a negative impact every time they hit the ice.

No doubt. One thing that has continued through the Snow to Lou transition has been the team's inexplicable insistance to stick with undertalented veterans over skilled youth. This team struggled to score against the Capitals junior varsity team tonight. Given what we've seen so far, this is more than a little concerning.

Have to give Komarov and opportunity to “play through it”. Trotz knows he can get back to his normal useless self. My feelings have jumped from dislike to pure hatred for him and Johnston they’re so hard to watch

Need Beau back to have at least 2 lines with some punch or they will stifle Barzals line. I would through JGP on the line with Nelson and Bailey and play the CCM like as the 3rd and play with 3 lines.
Use Johnston and however else after PKs or PP when guys need a blow. No one else deserves ice time anyway.
