TK was horrible the last two games - ClaudeFather
this is true, he is not moving his feet. I think TK benefits from being on the same lone consistently. the juggling has actually hurt his game, he will figure it out |

On the first goal, I though Provorov just made a bad play by trying to interfere with the Devil's forward versus just beating him back to the puck. He then compounded that error by not playing to the whistle when he realized he had committed a penalty! On the second goal, I though Sanheim and Friedman just gave up the blue line way to easy and let the Devils walk in, set up and shoot. I would have like to see them challenge that play a lot more than they did, though there also was very little back pressure on that play by the Flyers forwards. - jd250
On the second goal every single forward was at the opposing blue line as well, not sure what they were all doing . |

Its a leg injury? What is the timeline on his return? - MBFlyerfan
Hear it was a broke fibula and he's just started skating. Still a bit unknown. |

They do this every day after a game and get recalled for the game Thursday. Its cap circumvention a top of teams are doing it.

Braun had an 18 corsi yesterday. 18.
Friedman is not the answer. Youre taking his 2 game sample over how many games for hagg / braun who can play nhl defense. Gus and friedman can both sit. You can waive gus and send him to the taxi for myers too once healthy.
St Louis wouldnt trade dunn for braun or hagg but they could salary match as the 7th more experienced d man for the blues and get picks/prospects. |

HOCKEYSTATSCZ says Giroux is playing really well 5-5.
"Claude Giroux. That's crazy how he is good player again despite the Flyers haven't been playing good hockey in this season so far. Around 60% share at expected goals when he was on-ice at 5-on-5. He just knows how to play hockey. Great player!" |

Devils are not a bottom dweller. They played well and played well against good competition before our game. If blackwood was healthy and playing at the same elite level who knows how the game would of went. |

Not even a young giroux would’ve made that pass to Patrick I think. That’s an experienced playmaker making a play there. |

Where do you think they will finish in the standings? My guess 7th or 8 th place. That is the bottom to me. |

Will see if the lines stay the same. If chemistry starts once coots returns it will be interesting to see what the combos become. If the current top two lines start to click I see him taking Scott’s place and the dominant 4 th line will be back together. |

Right now 7th place is a 1 game swing apart from being a top team in our division. I expect the devils to play with house money as they get healthy and get one the best young goalies in hockey back. Finish around .500 |

It seems blues want picks/prospects. Though for most teams they will have to take a least league min guy back. Friedman 2nd rd and 4th rd? No clue as just guess. |

On the McCleod goal, both Provorov and Laughton were puck watching instead of picking up McCleod. Leading to an easy goal.
On the second goal, it's a 3 on 2. Defenseman can't step up and challenge on that situation with no back pressure. Where were the forwards? The play starts with the Flyers having possession of the puck on a regroup. All 3 Flyer forwards are on the offensive side of red line. Flyers try a stretch pass, don't get the puck deep. Two Flyers forwards change without the puck getting deep leading to the 2 on 3. Options on the play were for the defense to retain possession and pass D to D to allow time for the change. Or for the forwards to come back for support and move the puck in deep and then change. It's a lack of attention to detail on a simple play.

I realize what you're saying and this is nitpicking but it's not cap circumvention. Something that would be considered cap circumvention would be illegal and in violation of the CBA. Moving players from the active roster to the taxi squad is a legal move.

This is the fallacy of analytics. Expected goals don't win games. When you're a top player counted on for offense, you need to consistently produce for the team. Too many games Giroux has been ordinary despite having a positive share of shot attempts. That's all great if you're a secondary support player but when you're the team's top LW, you need to score and create more.

I prefer to look at G’s play as a strong start with many good processes and the scoring will come.

Hopefully. I think Giroux had played 3 good games out of 7. He needs to be consistent.
