Yes

Hate him when he’s not on your team and love him when he is.

He’s in the Marchand league.

- bryant

Marchand shows up in the playoffs though.

If Ktachuck was a Leafs, his 3 goals, 5 points in 15 playoff games would be a major story.

Tkachuck playoff stats: 3 Goals, 2 assists, 5 points in 15 games

Marner playoff stats: 5 goals, 16 assists, 21 points in 25 games

Matthews playoff stats: 12 goals, 7 assists, 19 points in 25 games

Nylander playoff stats:5 goals, 10 assists, 15 points in 25 games.

You "win" with "Grit" like Tkachuck. It's "Playoff" hockey...

Same reason they can keep Curt Schilling out.
- AdamFrench

Different reason.

Schilling is an ass.

But Ty Cobb was reportedly the worst human to ever walk the face of the earth, and he's in the Hall of Fame.

Same as Dave Keon.

Leafs at a 106 point pace in 54 games under Keefe with bad goaltending and a ton of injuries. The 105 point Lou season was supposedly so amazing. He had the 2nd healthiest team and a prime Freddy.

Hilarious bit of Leafs hate in the Mirtle tweet thread:

James Mirtle
@mirtle
Auston Matthews is now on pace for 35 goals this season in just 55 games.

I say he does it.

James Mirtle

@mirtle
(That's a 53-goal pace in an 82 game season, for those curious. So it's pretty, pretty good.)

He'll never crack 50 in a season. Just not in that league of players

@jamminben4
and
@mirtle
he was at 47 in 70 last season, give him a few more games and he would’ve.

- Atomic Wedgie

I mean he isnt wrong. Who would possible think Matthews would score 3 goals in 12 more games

For those of you who don't like mathing, that's 123 points in a regular 82 game season.

Still very, very early, though.

Do the Leafs do their customary February swoon in February this year, or does it shift to early April due to the scheduling changes?

Prove me wrong. His stats are night and day. He wasn't a top 30 goalie last year.

He's gone from about .918 to below avg.

I dunno... but I think they can be better still. If they can figure a couple of things out, I think they could be looking at a 70% pt percentage by the end of the season

I love the Leafs. Always have, always will.

However, I am able to objectively look at a game and point out when players have a bad game (even if I like them)😳

Some of us seem to struggle with this.

Really?

Because I'm a bigger Leafs fan, and I can look at a game and point out when players have a bad game.

And not objectively.

It's the negativity that unites us all.

.896 thus far despite shots being down. .909% last season. Both are by far worst of his career.

So yes, he use to be good. Far from elite, but "Good"

And people say Leafs wil "Lose" him beacuse they can't "Afford" him. The dude will be lucky to get the Hotby deal

Individual Republicans don't have the courage to excise Trump. You've only seen Act 1 of the Trump show.
- fifty__missions

The Democrats have to be the worst-organized political party on earth.

Did they really think that 17 Republican senators were going to vote to impeach Trump?

How could they possibly be this bad at their jobs?

Justin Holl: "I don't think we've touched how good we can be."

Holl said that after last nights game. The team is still winning but it does seem like they have another gear they haven’t reached yet.

Sheldon Keefe: "We don't like a lot of things about the game today... that just shows where we need to continue to grow as a team." But credits Flames with being a good team that played them very hard.

He's still young. Took Marchand a while to become dominant. I don't think that's anything to worry about from the Flames POV.

Funny that he got so worked up by a move that's totally in his wheelhouse
this year is going to be so good for rivalries.

What were they supposed to do? Let incitement to insurrection slide? They are between a rock and a hard place. What else could or should they do/have done? You can't let that kind of behavior go and not call DJT on it.

Yet, Nylander, Marner and Matthews with much better stats don't get that courtesy.

There was no need to send the indictment to the Senate so quickly.

Now all it does is slow down Biden's agenda, and give the Republicans a key victory early in Biden's term (yes, I know that Biden didn't do this, but it will be tied to him).

Why not wait a couple of months and see what other poop comes out? At least make it more embarrassing for the Republicans who vote to acquit.

Hell, as it stands now, I wouldn't vote to convict. If you look at everything he said, it treads the line and implies quite a bit to rabid, stupid followers - but he never gives a direct order.
